- Drain the oil
- Slacken off the nut on the return line for the oil pipe bracket a few turns
- Remove the splash guard under the engine
- Remove the oil pan and the seal
- Remove the oil filter
- Install the oil filter
- Drain off the remaining oil in the torque converter and the oil cooler
- Remove the screw nipple on the oil return line from the connection. Counterhold in the transmission
- Install a plastic hose on the oil return line
- Fill the transmission with oil. There are two different methods. Method 1
- Fill the transmission with oil. Method 2
- When filling (select method 1 or 2)

- Lower the car. Remove the lifting beam from the engine
- Install the remaining screws for the transmission and starter motor
- Install the dip stick pipe and the ground lead on the transmission
- Install the transmission cable on the transmission and the lever
- Install the charge air pipe on the charge air cooler (CAC). Connect the upper oil hose to the oil cooler
- Install the air cleaner (ACL) and the upper torque rod in the engine compartment
