REMOVING Remove     
1 Read out security code of radio (Audio) (N87/2) via Vehicle Documentation (VeDoc) and enter on the form.    
REFER TO FORMS Provide radio code to customer, form IMPORTANT Hand over form to customer. OF82.60-Z-3000-04KCV
2 Detach ground line of on-board electrical system battery.    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR54.10-S-0003E
3 Remove center instrument panel cover.    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR   Model 447.6/7 except code XM7 (Facelift II) AR68.10-S-3430E
4 Remove USB/AUX connection (A40/10) from center instrument panel cover. IMPORTANT Tie back plug (7) with electric lines of the universal serial bus/AUX connection (A40/10) and fix in place with cable ties at factory-installed electrical wiring harness.  
5 Remove radio (Audio) (N87/2) and standard radio installation frame.    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR   Model 447.6/7 except code XM7 (Facelift II)
IMPORTANT Hand over removed radio (Audio) (N87/2) with standard radio installation frame to customer.
IMPORTANT The screws (8) of the removed radio (Audio) (N87/2) are used for fastening the CNS head unit (1).

6 Remove GPS antenna (A2/47).    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR   Model 447.7 with code E1N (Becker® MAP PILOT) Model 447.7 with code EV6 (Becker® MAP PILOT pre-installation) AR82.85-S-0002E
7 Detach center instrument panel speaker (H4/27).    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR   IMPORTANT Do not disconnect electrical wiring plugs. AR82.62-S-7833E
8 Remove right A-pillar trim.    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR68.30-S-4050E
9.1 Remove front overhead control panel (OCP) control unit (N70). Model 447.7 with code LC4 (Comfort overhead control panel) Model 447.7 with code LD0 (Overhead control panel with two reading spots)

9.2 Remove front dome lamp (10). Model 447.7 except code LC4 (Comfort overhead control panel) except code LD0 (Overhead control panel with two reading spots)

10.1 Remove hands-free system microphone (B25/4) from front overhead control panel (OCP) control unit (N70). Model 447.7 with code LC4 (Comfort overhead control panel) Model 447.7 with code LD0 (Overhead control panel with two reading spots)
IMPORTANT For this, release catch (arrow) at overhead control panel (OCP) control unit (N70) and remove hands-free system microphone (B25/4).
 
10.2 Remove hands-free system microphone (B25/4) from front dome lamp (10). Model 447.7 except code LC4 (Comfort overhead control panel) except code LD0 (Overhead control panel with two reading spots)
IMPORTANT To do so, release catch (arrow) at front dome lamp (10) and remove hands-free system microphone (B25/4).
 
11 Remove right sun visor.

12 Remove right grab handle on front roof lining.    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR68.30-S-4330E
13 Remove right top B-pillar trim.    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR68.30-S-4700E
14 Slightly detach front roof lining from right roof frame at side.    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR   NOTES
Carefully detach front roof lining.
Otherwise, the front roof lining may be damaged.
IMPORTANT Do not remove front roof lining.
Do not disconnect electrical wiring plugs.

15 Remove trim from right C-pillar.

16 Remove trim from right D-pillar.

17 Remove load compartment lamp.

18 Remove rear right air vents.

19 Remove right grab handles on rear roof lining.    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR68.30-S-4330E
20 Slightly detach rear roof lining from right roof frame at side.    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR   Model 447.7 with code V23 (Interior trim, superior version)
NOTES
Carefully detach rear roof lining.
Otherwise the rear roof lining could be damaged.
IMPORTANT Do not remove rear roof lining.
Do not disconnect electrical wiring plugs.

21 Remove additional brake lamp.

  Preparation     
22 Prepare CNS head unit (1) for installation. IMPORTANT For this purpose, use the CNS head unit (1), cover (2) and supplied screws. AZ82.85-S-0008-01E 
23 Perform aftermarket modification to antenna line to TMC antenna splitter (A28/13) for CNS head unit (1). Model 447.7 with code E1N (Becker® MAP PILOT) Model 447.7 with code EV6 (Becker® MAP PILOT pre-installation) AZ82.85-S-0008-08E 
    SPECIAL TOOL Wiring harness repair kit, basic Fig 1
INSTALLING Install     
24 Retrofit antenna (14). Model 447.7 with code W50 (Rear-end door, two-wing, 180 degrees without window) AZ82.85-S-0014-01E 
    Model 447.7 with code W65 (Liftgate) AZ82.85-S-0014-01EA 
25 Retrofit SDAR tuner (13).   AZ82.85-S-0014-02E 
26 Retrofit hands-free system microphone (4).   AZ82.70-S-0005-08E 
27 Retrofit GPS antenna (3).   AZ82.85-S-0012-04E 
28 Retrofit connecting cables for CNS head unit (1). IMPORTANT The connecting cables for the CNS head unit (1) consist of the USB connection cables (5) and USB cover (9) as supplied. AZ82.85-S-0008-03E 
29 Retrofit CAN cable with adapter (6) for CNS head unit (1). IMPORTANT Install the CAN cable with adapter (6) with supplied antenna adapter. AZ82.85-S-0008-05E 
    SPECIAL TOOL Wiring harness repair kit, basic Fig 1
30 Retrofit CNS head unit (1).   AZ82.85-S-0008-02E 
31 Attach ground line of on-board electrical system battery.    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR54.10-S-0003E
32 Make basic settings on CNS head unit (1). NOTES
To do so, operate parking brake.
This enables the setting to be made on the CNS head unit (1) in the control menu.
IMPORTANT See Owner's Manual.
 
33 Install additional brake lamp.    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR   Model 447.7 with code W50 (Rear-end door, two-wing, 180 degrees without window)
IMPORTANT Do not disconnect electrical connector.

34 Fasten rear roof lining to right roof frame at side.    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR   Model 447.7 with code V23 (Interior trim, superior version)
NOTES
Carefully fasten rear roof lining.
Otherwise the rear roof lining could be damaged.

35 Install right grab handles on rear roof lining.

40 Fasten front roof lining to right roof frame at side.

46 Attach center instrument panel speaker.

47 Install right A-pillar trim.

48 Document retrofitted equipment in VeDoc. IMPORTANT Attach note "Communication and Navigation System (CNS) for satellite radio mode retrofitted as per AZ82.85-S-0014EA" under field organization texts to DG 82.
IMPORTANT Remove existing code EN6 (Audio 10) or code EN7 (Audio 15).
 
    IMPORTANT Model 447.7 with code EN7 (Audio 15) with code EV6 (Pre-installation for Becker® MAP PILOT)
Remove existing code EV6 (Becker® MAP PILOT pre-installation).
IMPORTANT Model 447.7 with code EN7 (Audio 15) with code E1N (Becker® MAP PILOT) Remove existing code E1N (Becker® MAP PILOT).
 
49 Connect vehicle diagnosis system, read out fault memory.    
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory   AD00.00-S-2000-04E
50 Perform SCN coding on electronic ignition lock (EZS) control unit (N73).    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR   IMPORTANT Under the "Control unit adaptations" menu item follow the instructions for "SCN coding". AR54.21-S-0015E
51 Perform SCN coding on instrument cluster (IC) control unit (A1/1).    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR   IMPORTANT Under the "Control unit adaptations" menu item follow the instructions for "SCN coding". AR54.21-S-0015E
52 Remove diagnostic system.    
INSPECT Check     
53 Perform function test. IMPORTANT See Owner's Manual.
The satellite radio mode must be activated by the customer. For this, hand the instructions supplied by the satellite radio provider to the customer
