INSPECT Check     
1 Check whether there is a free fuse slot for terminal 30t on fuse blocks 1 - 6 (F55/1, F55/2, F55/3, F55/4, F55/5 or F55/6).    
REFER TO BASIC KNOWLEDGE Assignment of fuse holders on seat base If there is no free fuse slot for terminal 30t on fuse blocks 1 - 6 (F55/1, F55/2, F55/3, F55/4, F55/5 or F55/6):

Use fuse slot for terminal 30t on vehicle interior fuse and relay module (F152).

REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR   Remove/install vehicle tool kit carrier plate AR68.30-D-5021TS
REMOVING Remove     
2.1 Remove left front seat. Model 907 except code SR8 (Driver's seat bogie)  
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR91.10-D-1000TS
2.2 Remove turn plate with attached left front seat. Model 907 with code SR8 (Driver's seat bogie)  
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR   IMPORTANT Do not disconnect front seat from turn plate. AR91.10-D-1456TS
3 Remove seat base cover (4) of left front seat.    
4 Remove control unit holder (51). If control unit holder (51) is installed.
NOTES
Do not kink subharness during installation of control unit holder (51) and ensure that it is routed free of chafing.
This prevents damage.
IMPORTANT To do so, remove nut (52).
Position control unit holder (51) so that ground points are accessible.
The number of control units varies depending on the vehicle equipment.
If control units are installed in control unit holder (51):

Unclip control units.
Do not disconnect plugs of control units.
 
5 Remove front floor coverings.

6 Loosen screws of seat base (50) at left.    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR   IMPORTANT Only loosen the two screws facing the doors. AR91.10-D-3521TS

7.2 Remove lower A-pillar trim on front passenger side. Model 907

8 Remove lower trim for center instrument panel.

9 Remove left B-pillar trim.

10 Remove front left door sill trim.

11 Remove cover (10). Model 907.2/6/7 with code H00 (Hot air duct to passenger compartment)  
12 Fold seat cushion padding forward. Model 907 with code S23 (Front passenger bench seat)  
13.1 Remove air duct (12). Model 907.2/6/7 with code H00 (Hot air duct to passenger compartment) except code S23 (Front passenger bench seat)
IMPORTANT For this purpose, remove nuts (11).
 
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION M6 *BA00.10-N-1002-01A 
13.2 Remove air duct (12, 13). 11 Model 907.2/6/7 with code H00 (Hot air duct to passenger compartment) with code S23 (Front passenger bench seat)
IMPORTANT For this purpose, remove nuts (11).
 
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION M6 *BA00.10-N-1002-01A 
14 Remove air duct (15). Model 907.2/6/7 with code H00 (Hot air duct to passenger compartment)  
15 Remove cable duct (17). IMPORTANT To do so, remove nuts (16).
TORQUE SPECIFICATION M6

16 Remove battery cover (19).    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR   Model 907
IMPORTANT Only loosen screws (18).

17 Release seat base (14) for front passenger bench seat.    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR   Model 907, with code S23 (Two seater front passenger seat) AR91.10-D-3523TS
18 Release cover (20). IMPORTANT Release cover (20) using a suitable screwdriver (arrows).
IMPORTANT Release cover (20) until wiring harness can be routed.
 
19 Remove head unit.

20 Remove cable duct (3). Model 907.6 with code V94 (Cable duct on side wall), Model 907.6 code V95 (Cable duct on rear portal)
IMPORTANT Model 907.6 with code T19 (Left sliding door) with code V94 (Cable duct on side wall)
To do so, loosen screws.
 
21 Remove center roof lining. Model 907.6 with code V36 (Roof lining), model 907.7

22 Remove center rear roof linings. Model 907.6 with code V36 (Roof lining), model 907.7

23 Remove rear roof lining. Model 907.6 with code V36 (Roof lining), model 907.7  
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR68.30-D-7608TSR
24 Remove dome lamp in load compartment.    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR   Model 907.6 AR82.20-D-5615TS
    IMPORTANT Remove electrical wiring harness of dome lamp from working area.  
  Remove additional brake lamp.

INSTALLING Install     
26 Retrofit camera. Model 907.6 except code D05 (Super-high roof) except code D06 (Super-high roof painted in vehicle color), Model 907.7 AN54.65-D-0030-02TS 
    Model 907.6 with code D05 (Super high roof) or code D06 (Super high roof painted in vehicle color)
IMPORTANT Model 907.1/2
Only the digital reversing camera specified by Daimler AG may be used.
Observe current van body/eauipment mounting directives

27 Remove front passenger side fuse and relay module. If there was no free fuse slot for terminal 30 t on fuse blocks 1 - 6 (F55/1, F55/2, F55/3, F55/4, F55/5 or F55/6).  
    IMPORTANT Do not disconnect relays, fuses and plugs of fuse and relay module. AR54.15-D-0004TS
28 Retrofit reversing camera wiring harness. when terminal 30 is provided via fuse block (9-pin) in seat base AN54.65-D-0030-03TS 
    when terminal 30 is provided via vehicle interior fuse and relay module (F152) AN54.65-D-0030-03TSB

The routing of the extension of the reversing camera wiring harness may deviate from the described variant depending on the model, wheelbase or box body.
Observe current van body/equipment mounting directives.

29 Install in the reverse sequence. IMPORTANT Operation steps 26 to 2.  
30 Enter special equipment into online vehicle data card. IMPORTANT Model 907.6/7 Designation of corresponding special equipment: Code FR8 (Reversing camera).
IMPORTANT Model 907.1/2 Designation of affected special equipment: Code FR7 (Pre-installation for ultrasonic reversing aid electrics) and code O1N (Reversing camera activation without guide lines).
IMPORTANT Attach a note "Reversing camera retrofitted as per AN54.65-D-0030TS " under field organization texts to KG54.
If detachable parts are attached in the rear area that cause the vehicle to deviate from the series production configuration in its length backward (e.g. running boards or similar):

Also enter special equipment: Code O1N (Reversing camera activation without guide lines) into online vehicle data card. Model 907.6/7
 
31 Enter note in online vehicle data card. IMPORTANT Attach note "Reversing camera power supply via F fuse slot ." in accordance with fuse holder used under field organization texts to KG54.
Furthermore, note the changed fuse assignment in the "Fuse assignment" supplement included with the vehicle.
 
32 Perform SCN coding of electronic ignition lock control unit (EZS).    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR   IMPORTANT Under the "Control unit adaptations" menu item follow the instructions for "SCN coding".
IMPORTANT Do not yet remove vehicle diagnosis system.

INSPECT Check     
35 Perform function check of reversing camera (1). → To do so, switch on ignition and engage reverse gear.
Picture is shown in head unit display.
