Notes On Carrying Out Repair Work In The Vehicle Interior - Ah68.00-N-0001-01S

Always comply with the following instructions: 

• Before starting repair work in the vehicle interior, install the appropriate covers to protect the floor coverings, seats, steering wheel etc. in the repair area to prevent soiling and damage.
• Persons performing work in the vehicle interior must ensure that their work clothes, shoes and hands are clean in order to prevent soiling and damage.
• Since many appointments in the vehicle interior may be installed/produced on customer request or as special equipment, exercise extreme care when performing work in the vehicle interior.
• Do not use dirty or unapproved tools that could cause soiling or damage (e.g. scratching or crazing of interior parts etc.).
• When removing parts which are bulky or difficult to handle (e.g. bench seat, headliner, instrument panel etc.), always work with the aid of a second person to prevent damage.
• When installing interior parts at the intended locations, install insulation material and/or protective foils, or, replace insulation material/protective foils as required in order to dampen vibrations and noise.
• Repair or replace damaged interior parts (particularly mounts such as retaining clips, velcro fasteners etc.).

Always place removed interior parts on a clean and soft surface.

Remove any dirt present with cleaners (see Workshop Equipment Manual) approved by Daimler and suitable for corresponding surfaces.
