| 1 | Remove screw/bolts (1) | ||
| 2 | Carefully cut through seal (2) of additional brake lamp (3) along entire length | Do not carry out any lifting movements. Otherwise damage will occur to the paint or to the body. |

| 3 | Remove additional brake lamp (3) until electrical connector (4) is accessible | ||
| 4 | Disconnect electrical connector (4) and remove additional brake lamp (3) | ||
| Install | |||
| 5 | Remove residue of seal (2) and soiling in installation area of additional brake lamp (3) at roof | Assembly cleaner | *BR00.45-Z-1028-04A |
| 6 | Position new additional brake lamp (3) at installation location and connect electrical connector (4) | ||
| 7 | Check additional brake lamp (3) and remaining exterior lighting for proper operation | ||

The function test of the additional brake lamp (3) must occur before adhesion. Otherwise, if there is a malfunction, the additional brake lamp (3) will need to be replaced again because the seal (2) is destroyed during removal. |

| 8 | Detach backing of seal of additional brake lamp (3) | ||
| 9 | Press additional brake lamp (3) onto roof | Do not change installation position of additional brake lamp (3) after it has been pressed on. Otherwise there will be damage to the seal (2). |

| 10 | Tighten screws (1) |
