Do not kink any electric lines and ensure that they are routed without any chafing.

This prevents damage.

1. Route electrical wiring harness (1) as shown.

   Loosely fasten electrical wiring harness (1) in sections at factory-installed electrical wiring harness or at a suitable position using cable ties.

2. Disconnect fabric tape (23) of electrical wiring harness (1).
3. Remove cover (21) of line connector (22).
4. Disconnect electric lines of contact sockets (20, 24) of electrical wiring harness (1) that are no longer required from line connector (22).
5. Attach cover (21) to line connector (22).
6. Fasten cover (21) with fabric tape and insulate.
7. Attach new fabric tape (23) as shown.

8. Remove fuse block (9-pin) from fuse holder (17) in accordance with free fuse slot.

   To do so, unlock fuse block (9-pin) (arrows A).

9. Release corresponding contact cavity of removed fuse block (9-pin).

   To do so, release lock (18) using a suitable tool. (Arrow B)

10. Install cable lug (2) of electrical wiring harness (1) for terminal 30 t into unlocked contact cavity of fuse block.
11. Lock contact cavity of fuse block (9-pin).
12. Install fuse block (9-pin) into fuse holder (17).
13. Install electrical fuse (5 A) at corresponding position in used fuse block (9-pin).
14. Connect plug (3) of electrical wiring harness (1) to head unit (A26/17).
15. Connect potential distributor plug (4) of electrical wiring harness (1) to user interface CAN (CAN HMI) potential distributor electrical connector (X30/20).

16. Route electrical wiring harness (15) as shown.

    To do so, open cable duct on B-pillar.

    Loosely fasten electrical wiring harness (15) in sections at factory-installed electrical wiring harness or at a suitable position using cable ties.

17. Connect plug (5) of electrical wiring harness (1) to plug (8) of electrical wiring harness (15).
18. Connect plug (6) of electrical wiring harness (1) to plug (9) of electrical wiring harness (15).
19. Connect plug (10) of electrical wiring harness (15) to plug (13) of reversing camera (B84/3).
20. Connect plug (11) of electrical wiring harness (15) to plug (12) of reversing camera (B84/3).

21. Remove nut of driver seat base ground point 3 (W105/3).
22. Connect cable lug (7) of electrical wiring harness (1) to driver seat base ground point 3 (W105/3).
23. Attach nut of driver seat base ground point 3 (W105/3) .
24. Tighten all cable ties of electrical wiring harnesses (1, 15).

    If necessary,

    ↓

    Strap down excess lengths of electrical wiring harnesses (1, 15) at a suitable point.
