REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove front side air vent.   AR83.10-S-4741EH
2 Remove front center air vent.   AR83.10-S-4742EH
3 Remove instrument cluster.   AR54.30-S-6015EH
4 Remove radio display.   AR82.60-S-7722EI
5 Remove steering column tube.   AR54.25-S-2802E
6 Remove front passenger airbag.   AR91.60-S-0680EF
7 Remove rotary light switch.   AR54.25-S-3250E
8 Remove trim from the A-pillar.   AR68.30-S-4050E 
9 Remove covers over air vents. Remove/install air nozzle cover on passenger side AR68.10-S-1090E 
    Removing, installing cover above air nozzle on driver's side AR68.10-S-1080E 
10 Remove the speaker in the instrument panel (1).   AR82.62-S-7833E
11 Remove front air conditioning control panel. Model 447.6/7 with code HH4 (THERMOTRONIC automatic climate control) or with code HH9 (semi-automatically controlled air conditioning system, TEMPMATIC), model 448.7 AR83.30-S-6631EH
12 Remove glove compartment housing. Model 447.6/7, 448.7 with code F66 (glove compartment, lockable) AR68.10-S-1400E 
13 Remove lower center trim for instrument panel (1).   AR68.10-S-1498EH 
14 Remove center console. Model 447.6/7 with code F1O (center console with stowage compartment and cup holder, center version) or with code FF1 (center console with stowage compartment) or with code FF2 (center console with 1 device installation frame) or with code FG0 (luxury center console with roller blind) or with code FG6 (center console with refrigerator box), Model 448.7 with code FF1 (center console with stowage compartment) or with code FG0 (luxury center console with roller blind)
Model 447.6/7 with code F1O (center console with stowage compartment and cup holder, center version)
AR68.20-S-2000EH 
    Models 447.6/7, 448.7 with code FG0 (luxury center console with roller blind) AR68.20-S-2000EA 
    Model 447.6/7 with code FF1 (center console with stowage compartment) or with code FF2 (center console with 1 device installation frame), model 448.7 with code FF1 (center console with stowage compartment) AR68.20-S-2000E 
15 Disassemble radio (24) with retaining plate (25). IMPORTANT To do this, remove screws (26).  
16 Remove radio (24) with retaining plate (25). IMPORTANT To do so, release and disconnect electrical connectors on the radio (24). AR82.60-S-7502EH
17 Remove the electrical wiring harness (28). Models 447.6/7, 448.7 with code JK8 (driver camera)
IMPORTANT To do this, remove retaining clips (30).
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Check retaining clips (30) for damage.
 
    SPECIAL TOOL Snap-release tool
If damage is present:

Replace damaged retaining clips (30).

18 Remove driver camera (27). Models 447.6/7, 448.7 with code JK8 (driver camera)
IMPORTANT To do so, release and disconnect electrical connectors (29).
 
19 Remove electrical wiring harness (5). IMPORTANT To do so, remove retaining clip (6).
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Check retaining clip (6) for damage.
 
    SPECIAL TOOL Snap-release tool
If damage is present:

Replace retaining clip (6).

20 Release and disconnect electrical connector (22) of the start/stop button.    
21 Release and disconnect electrical connector (23) of the vehicle interior temperature sensor. Model 447.6/7, 448.7 with code HH4 (THERMOTRONIC automatic climate control) or with code HH9 (semi-automatically controlled air conditioning system, TEMPMATIC)  
22 Unhook the air ducts (6) in the footwell on the instrument panel (1).    
23 Unscrew screws (2, 3, 4, 5, 12, 20, 21, 31).    
24 Remove instrument panel (1). IMPORTANT To do this, pull the instrument panel (1) slightly backwards until the retaining clips (19) are accessible.
Aid of helper required.
 
25 Remove instrument panel (1). IMPORTANT Remove retaining clips (19) of electric line (18).

26 Change vehicle interior temperature sensor. When replacing instrument panel (1).
Model 447.6/7 with code HH4 (THERMOTRONIC automatic climate control) or with code HH9 (semi-automatically controlled air conditioning system, TEMPMATIC), Model 448.7

27 Change start/stop button. When replacing instrument panel (1).
Model 447.6/7, 448.7
AR80.57-S-4801EH
28 Install in the reverse order.
