| 4 | Remove steering column tube module (9) from steering column tube (2). | Model 447, 448 except code XM7 (MOPF II) The red safety lock (10) on the steering column tube module (SCTM [MRM]) control unit (N80) holds the clock spring contacts in the center position and therefore must not be unlocked when removing and installing the steering column tube module (9). Otherwise, the clock spring contact will be destroyed. except code XM7 (MOPF II) To do so, pull steering column tube module (9) rearward out of cutouts (3) and remove steering column tube module (9) from steering column tube (2). with code XM7 (MOPF II) To do so, pull steering column tube module (9) rearward and remove steering column tube module (9) from steering column tube (2). except code XM7 (MOPF II) Installation: When the safety springs (4) are in the correct installation position, the assembly indicator (5) is retracted. If steering column tube module (9) is replaced, ↓ the transport protection (6) must be broken off after positioning the steering column tube module (9) on the steering column tube (2). |
