| 1 | Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2 m). | ||

| 4 | Unclip cover on left and right side in footwell. | ||

| 6 | Remove trim at bottom for instrument panel (1) on front passenger side. | AR68.10-P-1520RG | |

| 11 | Remove the midrange speaker in the instrument panel (1). | AR82.62-P-7833RG | |

| 16 | Remove COMAND controller unit. | AR82.85-P-1100RG | |
| 17 | Unclip left tweeter in instrument panel (1) and right tweeter in instrument panel (1) and release and disconnect electrical connectors. | ||
| 18 | Unscrew screws (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9). | ||
| 19 | Lift instrument panel (1) toward front until electrical connectors on air outlet temperature sensor left side air vent can be released and disconnected. | AR83.30-P-8081RG | |
| 20 | Lift instrument panel (1) toward front until the electrical connector on the air outlet temperature sensor side air vent can be released. | AR83.30-P-8082RG | |
| 21 | Release and disconnect electrical connector on the air outlet temperature sensor side air vent. | ||
| 22 | Remove instrument panel (1). | Ensure the correct seat and routing of the wiring harness from the active engine mount control unit on the A-pillar on the front passenger side. Otherwise damage may occur. |

| 23 | Install in the reverse order. | ||
