REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2 m).    
2 Disconnect ground line from battery.   AR54.10-P-0003RG
REFER TO SPECIAL TOOLS 000 588 13 98 00 Cover   WS98.00-P-0017B
3 Remove left and right door sills.   AR68.30-P-4100RG 
4 Unclip cover on left and right side in footwell.    
5 Remove bottom paneling for instrument panel (1) on driver side.   AR68.10-P-1501RQ 
6 Remove trim at bottom for instrument panel (1) on front passenger side.   AR68.10-P-1520RG 
7 Remove glove compartment.   AR68.10-P-1400RG 
8 Remove cover from center console.   AR68.20-P-2350RG 
9 Remove side covers on center console.   AR68.20-P-2355RG 
10 Remove center instrument panel cover (1).   AR68.10-P-3430RG 
11 Remove the midrange speaker in the instrument panel (1).   AR82.62-P-7833RG
12 Remove radio display.   AR82.60-P-7722RG
13 Remove steering wheel.   AR46.10-P-0100RG
14 Remove steering column module.   AR54.25-P-2802RG
15 Remove instrument cluster.   AR54.30-P-6015RG
16 Remove COMAND controller unit.   AR82.85-P-1100RG
17 Unclip left tweeter in instrument panel (1) and right tweeter in instrument panel (1) and release and disconnect electrical connectors.    
18 Unscrew screws (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9).    
19 Lift instrument panel (1) toward front until electrical connectors on air outlet temperature sensor left side air vent can be released and disconnected.   AR83.30-P-8081RG
20 Lift instrument panel (1) toward front until the electrical connector on the air outlet temperature sensor side air vent can be released.   AR83.30-P-8082RG
21 Release and disconnect electrical connector on the air outlet temperature sensor side air vent.    
22 Remove instrument panel (1). INSTALLATION NOTES Model 190 with code 466 (Active engine mount)
Ensure the correct seat and routing of the wiring harness from the active engine mount control unit on the A-pillar on the front passenger side.
Otherwise damage may occur.
IMPORTANT Helper required.
 
23 Install in the reverse order.    
INSPECT Check     
24 Carry out operational check.
