| Remove/install | |||
| 1 | Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2 m). | ||
| 2 | Disconnect ground line from battery. | AR54.10-P-0003RG | |
| 3 | Remove door sill. | AR68.30-P-4100RG | |
| 4 | Remove side cover from center console. | AR68.20-P-2355RG | |
| 5 | Open glove compartment (1). | ||
| 6 | Remove telephone control unit. | Model 190 with code 380 (Car telephony package) | AR82.70-P-7380RG |
| 7 | Remove screw/bolts (2). | ||
| 8 | Remove screw/bolts (3). | ||
| 9 | Remove expansion rivet (4). | ||
| 10 | Remove screws (5) below the glove compartment (1)- | ||
| 11 | Pull out glove compartment (1) until the electrical connectors (6, 7) are accessible. | ||
| 12 | Disconnect electrical connectors (6). | ||
| 13 | Disconnect electrical connector (7) of the front passenger knee airbag. | Fig 1 | |
| 14 | Remove glove compartment (1). | ||
| 15 | Remove front passenger knee airbag. | When replacing glove compartment (1). | AR91.60-P-0100RG |
| 16 | Install in the reverse order. |
