Remove/Install Steering Wheel - AR46.10-P-0100RG

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Turn steering wheel (1) to center position IMPORTANT Front wheels in straight-ahead position.  
2 Remove driver airbag on the steering wheel INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Replace bolt (2). AR91.60-P-0660EL
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, steering wheel to steering shaft *BA46.10-P-1001-02A 
3 Unlock catch tabs (3) and disconnect electrical connection (4) NOTES
Do not damage catch tabs (3)!
Otherwise, the electrical connection (4) will no longer lock.
 
    INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Ensure that the electrical connection (4) engages properly.  
4 Remove steering wheel (1) INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Ensure correct assignment of the markings (arrows) on the steering wheel and on the steering shaft.  
5 Install in the reverse order    
INSPECT Check     
6 Conduct a road test IMPORTANT Perform operation steps 7 to 9 in this case.  
7 Check turn signal cancellation IMPORTANT When the steering wheel is displaced by more than 1 tooth, correct cancellation of the turn signal is no longer guaranteed.  
8 Check driver airbag indicator lamp IMPORTANT On full steering angle in both directions, the SRS (Supplemental Restraint System) indicator lamp must not light up.  
9 Check position of the steering wheel IMPORTANT If the steering wheel is not straight, displace it by max. 1 tooth.
