Install the complete front axle with the engine and automatic transmission (all-wheel drive)

- Position the lifting table (1)
with the engine under the vehicle.

- Raise the lifting table (1)
in arrow direction
and pay attention to the free movement
of all components.
- Keep special tool 2 414 636 at hand.
- Spread the swivel bearing (1) in arrow direction with the special tool 2 414 636 .
- Feed in the swivel bearing (1) at the spring strut (2) and position it correctly.
- Remove the special tool 2 414 636 .
- Spread the swivel bearing (1) with the special tool 2 414 636 in arrow direction.
- Feed in the swivel bearing (1) at the spring strut (2) and position it correctly.
- Remove the special tool 2 414 636 .
- Make sure that the installation position of the spring strut (1) and the swivel bearing (2) in the marked area (3) is correct .
- Tighten the screw (1)
on the front subframe (3) at the outer rear left

.TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
Rubber mount to transmission bearing support M8 Tightening torque 19 Nm - Feed in and install the heat shield (2) .
- Tighten nuts (1)
.TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
Heat protection plate Sheet metal nut Tightening torque 3 Nm - Release the lug bolts (2) at the left front .
- Release the adjustment screw (3) and feed out the mount (1) and set aside.
- Release the lug bolts (2) at the right front .
- Release the adjustment screw (3) and feed out the mount (1) and set aside.
- Slowly lower the lifting table and set aside.
