REMOVING Remove     
1 Detach ground line from on-board electrical system battery.

2 Remove license plate lamp holder.    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR   IMPORTANTThe removed handle strip (4) is no longer  required. AR72.20-S-1010E
3 Remove rear bumper.

4 Remove rear headliner.

5 Remove right A-pillar trim.

6 Remove front headliner.

7 Remove right cover below instrument panel.

8 Remove radio (Audio) (N87/2).    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR   Model 447.6/7 with code EN7 (Audio 15) except AR82.60-S-7502E
    code XM0 (Facelift) except code XM7 (Facelift II) IMPORTANT Do not detach electrical connections.  
INSTALLING Install     
9 Retrofit electrical wiring harness to rear-end door (2). IMPORTANTCommercially available devices/tools 
Hand-held drill
Stepped drill bit
Wet and dry vacuum cleaner		 AN54.65-S-0030-11EB 
    Zinc dust paint suitable for spot welding *BR00.45-Z-1001-07A 
10 Retrofit vehicle interior electrical wiring harness (1).   AN54.65-S-0030-09EC 
REFER TO BASIC KNOWLEDGE Assignment of right footwell firewall fuse and relay module Model 447.6 except code XM0 (Facelift) Model 447.7 except code XM0 (Facelift) GF54.15-S-1256-39TRA
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION M8 *BA00.10-Z-1003-01KOA

11 Install radio (audio) (N87/2).

12 Install right cover below instrument panel.

13 Install front headliner.

15 Install rear headliner.

16 Install rear bumper.

17 Retrofit reversing camera holder (3) on rear-end door reversing camera (RFK) (B84/10) control unit. IMPORTANT To do so, fasten two-piece reversing camera holder (3) with positive engagement onto rear-end door reversing camera (RFK) control unit (B84/10).  
18 Retrofit rear-end door reversing camera (RFK) control unit (B84/10) into handle strip (4). IMPORTANT To do so, clip rear-end door reversing camera (RFK) control unit (B84/10) into handle strip (4) included in parts kit.  
19 Install license plate lamp holder.    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR   IMPORTANT To do so, install removed left rear-end door license plate lamp (E19/3) and right rear-end door license plate lamp (E19/4) into handle strip (4) included in parts kit. AR72.20-S-1010E
20 Attach ground line to on-board electrical system battery.    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR54.10-S-0003E 
21 Add special equipment to Vehicle Documentation System (VeDoc). IMPORTANT Designation of corresponding special equipment: Code FR8 (Reversing camera).  
22 Perform SCN coding on electronic ignition lock (EZS) control unit (N73).    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR   IMPORTANT Under the "Control unit adaptations" menu item, follow the instructions for "SCN coding". AR54.21-S-0015E 
    IMPORTANT Do not remove diagnostic system yet.  
23 Perform SCN coding on radio (audio) (N87/2).    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR   IMPORTANT Under the "Control unit adaptations" menu item, follow the instructions for "SCN coding"
IMPORTANT Do not remove diagnostic system yet.		 AR54.21-S-0015E 
24 Perform commissioning on rear-end door reversing camera (RFK) control unit (B84/10).    
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory
IMPORTANT		 IMPORTANT In the "Control unit adaptations" menu item, follow the "Commission previously-installed control unit" instructions AD00.00-S-2000-04E
25 Remove diagnostic system.    
INSPECT Check     
26 Perform function check of reversing camera.
