- Remove cable duct (7) from rear-end door electrical wiring harness (1).
The cable duct (7) is no longer required.
- Mark hole (A) on rear-end door.
- Drill hole (A) on rear-end door with ø 20 mm.
Commercially available devices/tools
Hand drill
Graduated drill
- Deburr hole (A) in rear-end door on both sides.
- Remove drilling chips.
Commercially available devices/tools Wet and dry vacuum cleaner
- Coat inside of hole (A) in rear-end door with zinc dust paint.
- Route rear-end door electrical wiring harness (1), as shown, from hole (A) inside cable duct (6) up to D-pillar on left.
Do not kink the rear-end door electrical wiring harness (1) and ensure it is routed without chafing.
This prevents damage.
- Fasten rear-end door electrical wiring harness (1) in sections using cable ties to factory-installed electrical wiring harness.
The camera contact socket (2) and the power supply plug connector (3) are only connected to the rear-end door reversing camera (RFK) control unit (B84/10) after the license plate lamp holder has been installed.
The power supply plug connector (4) and camera contact socket (5) are only attached after the vehicle interior electrical wiring harness has been routed.
