	Remove/install
1	Raise vehicle.		AR00.60-S-1000E
2	Remove right rear, rear center underfloor panelings and rear underfloor paneling carrier.	Model 447 with engine 654.9 with code CU4 (Aerodynamics package)	AR61.30-S-1001E
3	Remove expansion rivets (1) at rear wheel arches.
4	Remove expansion rivets (2) at underbody.
5	Remove screws (10) at underbody.
	Side mount for fender liner and rear bumper changed	Model 447 as of 1/29/16	BT88.20-S-2200-01E
6	Disconnect electrical connectors (3).	Model 447, 448.8 with code JA7 (Blind Spot Monitoring) Model 447, 448 with code EZ7 (Active Parking Assist) Number of electrical connectors (3) can vary depending on equipment installed.
7	Remove expansion rivets (6).	Model 447.6/7 with code W50 (Rear-end door, double-wing, 180 degrees without window) Model 447.6/7 with code W54 (2-wing rear-end door, 270 degrees) Model 447.6/7 with code W65 (Tailgate)
8	Remove screws (7).	Model 447.6/7 with code W50 (Rear-end door, double-wing, 180 degrees without window) Model 447.6/7 with code W54 (2-wing rear-end door, 270 degrees) Model 447.6/7 with code W65 (Tailgate)
9	Remove screws (9).	Model 447.6/7 with code W54 (2-wing rear-end door, 270 degrees)
10	Remove covers (8).	Model 447.6/7 with code W50 (Rear-end door, double-wing, 180 degrees without window) Model 447.6/7 with code W54 (2-wing rear-end door, 270 degrees) Model 447.6/7 with code W65 (Tailgate) Ensure covers (8) are correctly seated in rear bumper (5).
11	Remove screws (4).
12	Remove rear bumper (5).	Have second person help.
13	Make cutout for trailer coupling at rear bumper (5).	Model 447 with code Q22 (Trailer coupling, rigid coupling head) Model 447 with code Q24 (Trailer cross member NAFTA, towing capacity 5000Ibs) Model 447 with code Q50 (Trailer coupling with removable ball-type head) If rear bumper (5) is replaced. Observe marking for cutout at rear bumper (5).
14	Install in the reverse order.
	Check
15	Perform function check of Active Parking Assist.	Model 447, 448 with code EZ7 (Active Parking Assist)
16	Perform function check of Blind Spot Assist.	Model 447, 448.8 with code JA7 (Blind Spot Monitoring)
