Rear Washer Hose Removal/Installation: Notes

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the front bumper. (See FRONT BUMPER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Disconnect rear washer hose A from the washer motor.

  4. Remove clips A, B, and C.

  5. Disconnect rear washer hose A from joint pipe A and remove it.
  6. Remove the tape joining the grommet and rear washer hose B.
  7. Remove clips D.
  8. Disconnect rear washer hose B from joint pipe A.
  9. Remove the following parts:
    1. A-pillar trim (See A-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    2. Sunvisor (See SUNVISOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    3. Map light (See MAP LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    4. Assist handle (See ASSIST HANDLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    5. Front scuff plate (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    6. Rear scuff plate (See REAR SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    7. B-pillar lower trim (See B-PILLAR LOWER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    8. Front seat belt anchor cover (See FRONT SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    9. Front seat belt upper anchor installation bolt (See FRONT SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    10. B-pillar upper trim (See B-PILLAR UPPER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    11. Sub-trunk (See SUB-TRUNK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    12. Trunk end trim (See TRUNK END TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    13. Third-row seat (See THIRD-ROW SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    14. Third-row seat belt lower anchor installation bolt (See THIRD-ROW SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    15. Cargo compartment light (See CARGO COMPARTMENT LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    16. Trunk side trim (See TRUNK SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    17. Second-row seat belt upper anchor installation bolt (See SECOND-ROW SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    18. Rear header trim (See REAR HEADER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    19. C-pillar trim (See C-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  10. Disconnect rear washer hose B from joint pipe B and remove it.

  11. Disconnect rear washer hose C from joint pipe B.
  12. Disconnect rear washer hose C from joint pipe C.

  13. Disconnect rear washer hose D from joint pipe C.
  14. Remove the headliner. (See HEADLINER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  15. Mark the antenna feeder and headliner so that the position of tape A can be determined after removal.

  16. Remove tape A, then remove rear washer hose C and antenna feeder as a single unit.
  17. Measure the length from the end of the antenna feeder to the end of rear washer hose C so that the fixed position of rear washer hose C and antenna feeder can be determined after tape B removal.

  18. Mark the antenna feeder so that the position of tape B can be determined after removal.

  19. Remove tape B, then remove rear washer hose C from the antenna feeder. (See REAR WASHER HOSE C INSTALLATION NOTE .)
  20. Remove the liftgate upper trim. (See LIFTGATE UPPER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  21. Remove clip E.

  22. Disconnect rear washer hose D from the rear washer nozzle and remove it.
  23. Install in the reverse order of removal.
