- Secure the vehicle hoist against lowering and lifting.
- Make sure that the vehicle does not lift off the mounting plates on the vehicle lift.

Wiring harness for the sensor system of cylinder bank 2
- Release the wiring harness mountings (1) .
- Unlock plug connection (2)
and disconnect.
- Release the wiring harness for the sensor system of cylinder bank 2 from the holders in areas (1)
.
- Release the wiring harness for the sensor system of cylinder bank 2 from the holder in area (1)
.
- Make sure that the connector of the high pressure pump (1) is not confused with the connector of the intake air temperature sensor.
- If there are no colored marks (3) on the plug connections of the high pressure pump: Attach the marks.
If necessary, identify the connector using the wiring diagram by means of cable colors in area (2) .
- Release the wiring harness mounting in area (1) .
- Unlock plug connection (2)
and disconnect.
- Unlock and disconnect plug connections (1) .
- Loosen screw (2) .
- Release the wiring harness for the sensor system of cylinder bank 2 from the holder in area (3) .
- Loosen screw (2) .
- Loosen screws (4) .
- Lay the grounding point (5) to one side.
- Lay the grounding point (6)
to one side.
- Unlock and disconnect plug connections (1) .
- Release the wiring harness for the sensor system of cylinder bank 2 from the holders in area of arrows.
- Loosen screw (2) .
- Lay the grounding point (3)
to one side.
- Release the wiring harness for the sensor system of cylinder bank 2 from the holders in areas (1)
.
- Unlock and disconnect plug connections (1)
.
- Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.
- Release the wiring harness for the sensor system of cylinder bank 2 from the holder (2)
.
- Release the wiring harness for the sensor system of cylinder bank 2 from the holders in areas (1)
.
- Unlock and disconnect the holder of the wiring harness in area (1)
.
- Unlock plug connection (1)
and disconnect.
- Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.
- Release the wiring harness for the sensor system of cylinder bank 2 from the holders in areas (2)
.
- Unlock and disconnect the plug connection of the VANOS solenoid actuator exhaust (1) .
- Unlock and disconnect the plug connection of the VANOS solenoid actuator intake (4) .
- Release the wiring harness mountings (2) .
- Loosen screw (3)
.
- The wiring harness mountings must be released (1) .
- Unlock and disconnect plug connections of the knock sensors (2) .
- Guide out the wiring harness for the sensor system of the cylinder bank 2 and remove it.
