	Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.	Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.	AS00.00-Z-0005-01A

1	Turn front wheels to straight-ahead position and secure steering wheel with holding device	The steering wheel must not be turned when the steering coupling is removed. The clock spring contact may be destroyed otherwise.

12	Mount engine hoist and raise engine slightly	Only lift up the engine until the engine mounts are relieved of load.	AR33.10-P-0105EW
13	Secure cooler with tensioning strap against falling down
14	Remove diagonal struts (11)	Only tighten screw/bolts for the diagonal struts (11) once the vehicle is standing with its wheels on the ground.

15	Remove link rods (10) on stabilizer bar (9)	If necessary, counterhold ball stud with internal Torx.

17	Remove bracket (14) for front level sensor link rod (13) from cross strut	Do not unclip front level sensor link rod (13) from bracket (14). The front level sensor link rod (13) can get damaged otherwise.

23	Disconnect electrical connections on electric power steering electromechanical controller unit and unclip electrical wiring harness from front axle carrier
24	Remove bracket (5b) from electrical refrigerant compressor (A9/5)
25	Detach high voltage plug (5) from electrical A/C compressor (A9/5)
26	Remove bracket (5c) from oil pan (2) and lay high-voltage line (5) outside the working area	The high-voltage line (5) should be protected against excessive fouling and against getting damaged. If the high-voltage line (5) is damaged the high-voltage distributor must be replaced completely.

27	Remove electrical line circuit 30 (4) from power electronics control unit (N129/1)	Ensure contact surfaces are absolutely clean. Contact problems and therefore damage to the high-voltage system can occur otherwise. Ensure correct seating of the electrical line circuit 30 (4).

28	Remove bracket (4a) from the oil pan (2) and place electrical line circuit 30 (4) to one side
29	Remove clamp (6a) and bracket (6b) from oil pan (2)
30	Detach transmission fluid lines (6) at the connections (7) from transmission and set aside	Before disconnecting, the area around the transmission oil lines (6) must be cleaned thoroughly in the area of the connections (7). Even the smallest dirt particles in the hydraulic components otherwise can lead to malfunctions and total failure of the transmission. Do not kink or bend the transmission fluid lines. Leaks and damage may occur otherwise. Collect escaping gear oil and seal the line connections.
