11 37 010 Removing and installing/replacing intermediate levers: Notes

Preliminary work: 

• Disconnect all battery ground leads
• Refer to REMOVING THE ACOUSTIC COVER 
• Refer to REMOVING INTAKE SILENCER HOUSING
• Refer to REMOVING CLEAN AIR PIPE
• Refer to REMOVING FAN COWL .
• Remove the cover in the left engine compartment
• Remove the right cover in the engine compartment
• Remove the sound insulation on the bulkhead upper part center
• Remove both wiper arms
• Remove cowl panel cover
• Refer to REMOVING TRAILING LINK AT SPRING STRUT DOME 
• Remove ACOUSTIC COVER AT REAR 
• Unlock and disconnect connector (1). Loosen screws (2). Remove charge air line from throttle body and place to one side.

• Refer to REMOVING TANK VENT VALVE
• Disconnect the connector from the DME control unit and from the power distribution module (PDM)
• Refer to REMOVING THE DME CONTROL UNIT
• Refer to REMOVING THE HOLDER FOR THE DIGITAL MOTOR ELECTRONICS-CONTROL UNIT
• Refer to DRAINING THE COOLANT FROM THE LOW-TEMPERATURE COOLING SYSTEM
• Refer to REMOVING THE INTAKE PLENUM 
• Remove ignition coils. Refer to REPLACING IGNITION COILS .
• Refer to REMOVING THE HIGH PRESSURE LINE BETWEEN THE RAIL AND THE HIGH PRESSURE PUMP
• Refer to REMOVING FUEL DELIVERY LINE
• Refer to REMOVING THE INJECTORS FOR CYLINDERS 1 TO 3
• Refer to REMOVING THE INJECTORS FOR CYLINDERS 4 TO 6
• Refer to REMOVING HIGH PRESSURE PUMP
• Refer to REMOVING BOTH ACTUATORS 
• Refer to REMOVING FRONT ENGINE ENCAPSULATION 
• Refer to REMOVING THE CYLINDER HEAD COVER 
• Using the servomotor (2), slowly set the eccentric shaft (1) to minimum lift.

• Connect the connector to the DME control unit and the power distribution box (PDM)
• Refer to INSTALLING THE TANK VENT VALVE
• Fasten charge air line to the throttle body
• Refer to INSTALLING ACOUSTIC COVER AT REAR 
• Install tension strut on spring strut dome. Jointing torque: 56 Nm, angle of rotation: 90°
  NOTE: Replace screws.
• Attach cowl panel cover
• Install both wiper arms
• Check the angle of attack of the wiper arms on the left and right
• Install the sound insulation on the bulkhead upper part center
• Install the cover in the engine compartment on the left
• Install the cover in the engine compartment on the right
• Refer to INSTALLING FAN COWL
• Refer to INSTALLING CLEAN AIR PIPE
• Refer to INSTALLING INTAKE SILENCER HOUSING
• Refer to INSTALLING ACOUSTIC COVER 
• Connect all battery ground leads
