MEASURING Measure     
NOTES Notes on self-locking nuts and bolts   AH00.00-N-0001-01A
1.1 Drive the vehicle onto a suitable pit and secure using the parking brake When using a pit.  
1.2 Drive vehicle onto a measuring lifting platform, secure with the parking brake and lift up When using a measuring lifting platform.  
2 Remove lower engine compartment paneling or bottom sections of soundproofing MODEL 172 with gasoline engine AR61.20-P-1105W

3 Prepare vehicle for measurement NOTES The vehicle must be on its wheels for the measurement.
Otherwise the measurement will be inaccurate.
IMPORTANT The transmission mounts and exhaust system must not be stressed during the inclination angle measurement. If necessary, relieve the tension in the transmission suspension or exhaust system.
 
4 Prepare articulation angle meter   AR41.10-P-0086-02P

5 Check articulation angle meter, adjust if necessary IMPORTANT To check and adjust, see equipment operator's manual.  
6 Measure front inclination angle (∠1) MODEL 172, 204, 207, 212, 218 with automatic transmission.

9 Measure rear inclination angle (∠3) Measure absolute angle at rear axle housing
