Read out propeller shaft inclination angles from memory; correct if necessary - AR41.10-P-0086-01R

IMPORTANT The display indicates that the meter is ready to measure angle 5. This angle is no longer measured.

  1. Press "MEMORY" button on measuring instrument once.

    Electronic propeller shaft inclinometer

    IMPORTANT The main menu is displayed.

  2. Press "MEMORY" button again.

    IMPORTANT The memory displays the measured angle (a, b, d) and the resulting articulation angle ∠1 (c) and articulation angle ∠2 (e).

  3. Record inclination angle ∠1 (c) e.g. +0.26° and inclination angle ∠2 (e) e.g. +0.58° on the data sheet.
  4. Press "STEP" button.

    IMPORTANT The measured angles (d, f) and the calculated articulation angle ∠ 3 (g) are displayed in the memory.

  5. Enter articulation angle ∠3 (g) e.g. -0.08° into data sheet.

    IMPORTANT The inclination angles are calculated from the differences between the respective angle measurements.

    Inclination angle ∠1:

    Transmission to front propeller shaft. MODEL 172, 211, 219, 230, 231 MODEL 216.3, 221.0/1 propeller shaft, 2-piece MODEL 204, 207, 212, 218

    Inclination angle ∠2:

    Front propeller shaft to rear propeller shaft. MODEL 172, 211, 219, 230, 231 MODEL 216.3, 221.0/1 propeller shaft, 2-piece MODEL 204, 207, 212, 218

    Inclination angle ∠3:

    Rear drive shaft to rear axle differential. MODEL 172, 211, 219, 230, 231 MODEL 216.3, 221.0/1 propeller shaft, 2-piece MODEL 204, 207, 212, 218

    IMPORTANT If a value is outside of the tolerance, it must be corrected. All articulation angle differences should be as close as possible to the center of the relevant tolerance range.

    A check measurement must be carried out after each inclination angle correction.
