Remove/install rear panoramic glass roof - AR77.21-P-0600SX

REMOVING Removing     
DANGER Risk of injury  caused by fingers being pinched or crushed  when removing, installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lids, liftgates or sliding roof Keep body parts and limbs well clear of moving parts. AS00.00-Z-0011-01A
NOTES Notes on removal/installation of windows   AH67.10-P-1000-02RT
    IMPORTANT The rear glass roof (1) cannot be removed in a non-destructive manner and therefore generally has to be replaced  
1 Determine height and gap dimension between rear glass roof (1) and front glass roof, rear window (5) and dimensions to side roof paneling (3) and note IMPORTANT These dimensions are required for installation.  
2.1 Determine height and gap dimension between rear glass roof (1) and rear window (5) and note Model 207.3, 212.0, 221.1
IMPORTANT These dimensions are required for installation.		  
2.2 Determine height and gap dimension between rear glass roof (1) and rear glass cover and note Model 212.1
IMPORTANT These dimensions are required for installation.		  
2.3 Determine height and gap dimension between rear glass roof (1) and rear roof paneling (3) and note Model 212.2
IMPORTANT These dimensions are required for installation.		  
3 Open crank window in driver door NOTES Leave crank window in driver door open for duration of the glue hardening time (waiting time) to prevent the rear glass roof (1) being pressed outwards by the air pressure when the doors are closed.  
4 Move front glass roof to tilt position    
5 Prepare adhesive cartridge IMPORTANT Heat-up time min. 20 minutes.

6.1 Remove drip rails on panoramic sliding sunroof Model 207.3, 212 AR88.80-P-4000EW
6.2 Remove carrier with seal Model 221 AR77.21-P-0620SX
7.1 Remove multifunction antenna or multifunction antenna mockup Model 207.3 AR82.70-P-8951EC
Model 212.0 up to model year 2011 AR82.70-P-8951EW
7.2 Remove multifunction antenna Model 212.0 as of model year 2011

7.3 Remove cover for antenna and antenna mock-up Model 212.0 as of model year 2011 AR82.70-P-8952EW
7.4 Remove telephone and GPS roof antenna Model 221
IMPORTANT Loosen headliner in rear area up to B-pillars		 AR82.70-P-8951SX
8 Cut weatherstrip (2) off of rear glass roof (1) with suitable knife Model 207.3, 212.0/1, 221
IMPORTANT Cut off weatherstrip (2) only at rear.		  
9 Fold lip over at top of rear window (5) and fasten with suitable adhesive tape (4). Model 207.3, 212.0, 221  
10 Mask roof paneling (3) with adhesive tape on both sides.    
11 Remove roller sun blind on panoramic sliding sunroof Model 207.3 AR77.21-P-0215EC
12 Remove covers of rear glass roof (1) Model 207.3 AR77.21-P-0630EC
13 Install cutting wire (7) with pull-in device (6) through glue bead on rear glass roof (1). IMPORTANT Position pull-in device (6) approx. 25 cm away from the rear edge of the rear glass roof (1).
"Veritrac" window removal tool		  
DANGER Risk of injury  due to tear or warming up of cutting wire and through glass splinters when cutting out glued windows Wear protective gloves and safety glasses. AS67.00-Z-0004-01A
14 Cut out rear glass roof (1) with cutting wire (7) and remove. NOTES On model 212.2 install cutting wire between rear glass roof (1) and rear sealing lip.
Sealing lip can be damaged.
IMPORTANT Aid of helper required.
On model 207.3, 212.0 remove panoramic sliding roof cover together with rear glass roof (1).

INSTALLING Install     
15 Prepare rear glass roof (1) for installation Suction lifting device AR77.21-P-0600-02SX 
Repair kit *BR00.45-Z-1089-02A 
16 Prepare panoramic roof frame for installing rear glass roof (1). Wet/dry vacuum cleaner AR77.21-P-0600-05SX 
Repair kit *BR00.45-Z-1089-02A 
17 Close front glass roof    
18 Apply glue for rear glass roof (1) "Pressofix" cartridge gun AR77.21-P-0600-03SX 
Repair kit *BR00.45-Z-1089-02A 
19 Install rear glass roof (1) in panoramic roof NOTES Move vehicle only after adhesive has dried sufficiently (approx. 2 h), otherwise, the strength of the adhesive joint is not ensured.
IMPORTANT Aid of helper required.
Remove adhesive tape (4) after installing and before aligning rear glass roof (1).
Observe dimensions noted when aligning.
It is possible to carefully install the detachable parts after the adhesive has cured sufficiently (approx. 30 min.).

20 Remove adhesive tape from roof paneling (3)    
21 Install covers of rear glass roof (1) Model 207.3 AR77.21-P-0630EC
22 Install bezel of panoramic sliding sunroof Model 207.3, 212.0
NOTES Replace bezel on panoramic sliding sunroof otherwise water entry will occur in the interior.		 AR77.21-P-0751EW 
23 Install roller sun blind on panoramic sliding sunroof Model 207.3 AR77.21-P-0215EC
24.1 Install multifunction antenna or multifunction antenna mockup Model 207.3 AR82.70-P-8951EC
Model 212.0 up to model year 2011 AR82.70-P-8951EW
24.2 Install multi-function antenna Model 212.0 as of model year 2011
