	Remove

3	Remove floor mat (1) from front passenger footwell
4	Fold back floor covering (2) in front passenger footwell
5	Unscrew nuts (arrows), remove footrest (4), fold toward rear and set down on floor covering (2) with electrical lines connected	Handle footrest (4) carefully. Otherwise damage to the electrical lines may occur.
6	Remove right front door sill and right rear door sill

7	Remove A-pillar paneling at bottom right
8	Remove right lower B-pillar paneling
9	Remove center console (5)

10	Remove dummy cover for Media Interface electrical connector cutout (X18/70) in center console (5)	Dummy cover is no longer required.

13	Remove rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module

		Check in the EPC in design group 99 whether the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module installed in accordance with the vehicle equipment can be used for retrofitting the Media Interface. If necessary, the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module is to be removed and replaced with one compatible with the Media Interface. If the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module does not need to be replaced, simply detach it and place to one side with electrical lines connected.
