1	Remove automatic air conditioning control and operating unit (N22/7)		AR83.40-P-6350EW
2	Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key or KEYLESS-GO start/stop button from electronic ignition lock control unit	KEYLESS-GO start/stop button only on vehicles with code (889) Keyless-Go.
3	Remove bolts (5)
4	Unclip boot (2) from cover (3).	On vehicles without code (279) Electronic drive selection stage

6	Open cover (4)
7	Unclip cover (3) in front area at top and lift until electrical connector on automatic transmission mode button (S16/12) is accessible. 10	Unscrew bolt (7)

12	Unscrew nuts (9)
13	Fold up cover (8) toward rear and disconnect electrical connectors from center console (X29/6)
14	Slide back foam rubber jacketing and disconnect electrical connectors from mobile telephone (X39/37)	On vehicles with code (386) Comfort telephony
15	Remove center console (1) from vehicle	Guide wiring harnesses on automatic air conditioning control and operating unit (N22/7) through opening in center console (1). After positioning center console (1) on cover (4) check for proper function, if applicable, slide center console (1) toward rear again and move disturbing wiring harnesses to side.
16	Install in the reverse order
