1	Remove right trim of A-pillar at top (3)
2	Remove right and left trim of A-pillar at bottom (4)
3	Remove left front door sill

5	Remove trim under instrument panel on left
6	Remove glove box

7	Remove COMAND controller unit (A40/3)

8	Remove exterior lights switch (S1)

		MODEL 212.0 as of 12.01.09, 212.1/2 The exterior lights switch (S1) is no longer required.	AR54.25-P-3270EW
9	Remove center console

10	Remove accelerator pedal

11	Unscrew bolts at rear of driver seat (1), remove front bolts on driver seat (1) and detach front paneling from guide rails

12	Remove left front floor covering (2)	Observe routing of accelerator pedal wiring harness.
13	Fasten driver seat (1) at front using bolt
14	Disconnect ground line of battery

15	Remove windshield

		The windshield is no longer required.
16	Remove left front lamp unit (E1) and right front lamp unit (E2)

		It is not necessary to buffer the basic data. The left front headlight unit (E1) and right front headlight unit (E2) are no longer required. Remove bolts of telescopic nozzles left front headlight unit (E1) and right front headlight unit (E2).
17	Remove front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1) and place to one side with electrical lines still connected

18	Install wiring harness for left front headlight unit (E1) and right front headlight unit (E2)		AN54.30-P-0001-01EW
19	Install new left front headlight unit (E1) and new right front headlight unit (E2)

		Complete assembly of vehicle front.
20	Install new exterior lights switch (S1)

22	Retrofit Night View Assist wiring harness		AN54.30-P-0001-02EW
23	Install remaining parts	Operation steps 17, 13 to 9 and 7 to 1.
24	Install windshield
			AR67.10-P-1000P
		Before installing the rain/light sensor and the multifunction camera, strip back the wrapping around the wiring harness for the rain/light sensor and for the multifunction camera wiring harness to a length of approx. 50 mm.
25	Install Night View Assist camera (B84/2)

26	Connect ground line to battery

27	Enter special equipment in online vehicle data card via vehicle documentation system (VeDoc)	Add:  CODE 610 (Night View Assist)
28	Document retrofitted equipment in VeDoc	Attach note "Night View Assist retrofitted as per AN54.30-P-0001EW " to the KG54 under field organization texts.
29	Connect Star Diagnosis and select vehicle via the vehicle identification number (VIN)

30	Perform variant coding with XENTRY using the software calibration number (SCN)
31	Disconnect Star Diagnosis
