1. Press green rubber grommet (3) in slot 7 toward rear out of the gray/yellow 14-pin connector (1) of right front lamp unit and out of the gray/black 14-pin connector (2) of the left front lamp unit using a 2 mm drift (4).

   The numbering of the slots is imprinted on the rear on the gray/yellow 14-pin connector (1) and on the gray/black 14-pin connector (2).

2. Install white line (ws) in chamber "7" of the gray/yellow 14-pin connector (1) of the front right lamp unit.

   Use contact (5) with the rubber grommet (5.1).

3. Install white/black line (ws/sw) in chamber "7" of the gray/black 14-pin connector (2) of the front left lamp unit.

   Use contact (5) with the rubber grommet (5.1).

4. Slide a 1250 mm-long black insulation hose (6) over the white/black line (ws/sw).
5. Slide a 2250 mm-long black insulation hose (6) over the white line (ws).

6. Slide the black insulation hose (6) onto the white line (ws) up to approx. 20 mm in front of the gray/yellow 14- pin connector (1), and seal behind the gray/yellow 14- pin connector (1) with insulation tape (7).
7. Slide the black insulation hose (6) onto the white/black line (ws/sw) up to approx. 20 mm in front of the gray/black 14-pin connector (2) and seal behind the gray/black 14-pin connector (2) with insulation tape (7).

8. Route white line (ws) and white/black line (ws/sw) from the installation location of the gray/yellow 14-pin connector (1) and the gray/black 14-pin connector (2) along the vehicle wiring harness and the engine hood cable to the front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1).

   Route white line (ws) and white/black line (ws/sw) under the rubber seal (9).

9. Fix white line (ws) and white/black line (ws/sw) in place at the vehicle wiring harness and at the engine hood cable with cable tie.
10. Wrap felt band around the black insulation hose (6) of the white line (ws) and of the white/black line (ws/sw) near the refrigerant lines (8).
11. In the area of the front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module, seal the black insulation hose (6) at the white line (ws) and at the white/black line (ws/sw) with insulation tape (7).

    The white line (ws) and the white/black line (ws/sw) may not be protected by the black insulation hose (6) at a length of approx. 350 mm. Shorten the black insulation hose (6) before sealing if necessary.

12. Wrap contact at the white line (ws) and contact at the white/black line (ws/sw) with a thin layer of insulation tape.

13. Unclip cover (10) of the support box (12) on the front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1) and remove upwards.

14. Carefully feed the expanding pliers between the sealant (arrow A) and the rubber grommet (11).

    Do not damage the electrical lines and the rubber grommet (11).

    Otherwise, water penetration may occur.

15. Carefully route white line (ws) and white/black line (ws/sw) between sealant (arrow A) and rubber grommet (11) into the support box (12).

    Ensure that the black insulation hoses (6) end before the rubber grommet (11).

    Otherwise, water may infiltrate the support box (12) due to the capillary effect.

16. Push sealant (arrow A) firmly into the rubber grommet (11) once again.

    Re-establish leaktightness with new sealant if necessary.

17. Remove insulation tape again from contact (13) of the white line (ws) and of the white/black (ws/sw) line.
18. Check correct fit of the rubber grommet (11) in the support box (12) and correct if necessary.
19. Insert cover (10) into the support box (12) from above and lock in place.

20. Remove red 10-pin connector (14M) and green 10-pin connector (15M) at front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1).

    The short designations of the red 10-pin connector (14M) and the green 10-pin connector (15M) are imprinted on the front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1).

21. Install white line (ws) in slot 10 (arrow C) of the green 10-pin connector (15M).
22. Install white/black line (ws/sw) in slot 1 (arrow B) of the red 10-pin connector (14M).
23. Connect red 10-pin connector (14M) and green 10-pin connector (15M) at the front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1).
