Front Seat Pan Covers And Cushion
Removal and installation of the components are described for the left seat. The same procedure applies for the removal and installation of the components of the right seat.
If the front seat cushion cover on front passenger side is replaced, then the front passenger seat occupant sensor -G128- must always be replaced as well. Refer to FRONT PASSENGER SEAT OCCUPANT SENSOR G128
Removing
-- Mount the fixture for seat repair VAS 6136 on the engine and transmission holder VAS 6095.
-- Remove front seat. Refer to FRONT SEAT
-- Attach the seat to the fixture for seat repair VAS 6136.
-- Remove the front seat belt latch:
- 2-door: BELT LATCH, 2-DOOR
- 4-door: BELT LATCH, 4-DOOR
-- Remove front right seat trim. Refer to RIGHT SEAT TRIM
Vehicles with manual seat adjustment
-- Remove front left seat trim. Refer to LEFT SEAT TRIM
-- Remove bracket and front seat operating lever. Refer to FRONT SEAT SUPPORT AND OPERATING LEVER
Vehicles with electric seat adjustment
-- Remove left power seat trim. Refer to LEFT POWER SEAT TRIM
-- Remove retainer and power seat bracket. Refer to POWER SEAT BRACKET AND SUPPORT
All vehicles
-- Remove front seat drawer mount. Refer to SEAT DRAWER MOUNT
-- Remove front seat backrest. Refer to LEFT FRONT SEAT BACKREST
-- Remove profile -1- from receptacle.
-- Disengage retaining straps -2- from seat on both sides.
-- Disengage profiles -3- from mounts on both sides of seat.
-- Disengage profile -4- from mount on front side of seat.
-- Roll cover upward on outer sides around circumference.
-- Using a small screwdriver, unclip profiles -1- for cover out of mounts -2- in upholstery.
-- In vehicles with seat heater, disconnect wiring harness -3- from seat frame.
-- Remove cover -4- and the cushion -5- from the lower seat frame -6-.
Installing
-- Install in reverse order of removal.
