Belt Latch, 2-Door

NOTE:

The following describes removing and installing the seat belt latch on the left seat. Removing and installing the right seat belt latch is identical.

Removing

-- Mount the fixture for seat repairVAS 6136 on the engine and transmission holderVAS 6095.

-- Remove front seat. Refer to FRONT SEAT

-- Attach the seat to the fixture for seat repairVAS 6136.

-- Position seat as far forward as possible.

-- If present, disconnect wiring harness -1- from seat frame.

-- Remove bolt -2- (20 Nm).

NOTE:

The screw is micro-encapsulated and must be replaced every time it is loosened.

Before new bolts are installed, the thread of the corresponding nut must be cleaned.

-- Turn seat belt latch 90° clockwise -arrow A-.

-- Swivel seat belt latch toward outside -arrow B-.

-- Remove the seat belt latch from the mount in seat rail -arrow C-.

Installing

-- Install in reverse order of removal.
