Removal [07/2022 - ]: Procedure
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
- for B58:
Refer to REMOVAL [03/2019 - ]
- for B58:
- REMOVE FRONT CONSOLE ARMREST ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE CONSOLE UPPER REAR PANEL
- REMOVE CONSOLE SIDE PANEL
- REMOVE CONSOLE PANEL AND CONSOLE PANEL RETAINER
- REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH LOWER PANEL
- Loosen T20 screw (1) on the instrument panel finish lower panel (2).
- Open the glove compartment door assembly (1).
- Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, remove the rubber plug (1).
Protective Tape - Loosen T20 screw behind it.
- Using a moulding remover A, detach the clip (2) of the instrument panel finish lower panel (1).
- Slightly pull out the instrument panel finish lower panel (1) toward you as shown in the illustration.
Place Hands Here Remove in this Direction - Pull the instrument panel finish lower panel (1) straight forward, detach the guides (3) and the clip (2), and pull it out toward you.
Place Hands Here Remove in this Direction - Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.
- Detach the clip (3) to disconnect the wiring harness (2).
- Remove the instrument panel finish lower panel.
- Loosen T20 screw (1) on the instrument panel finish lower panel (2).
- REMOVE UPPER CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Apply protective tape as shown in the illustration.
Protective Tape - Using a molding remover A, detach the clips (2) of upper console panel sub-assembly (1).
- Raise the upper console panel sub-assembly (1) a little.
- w/o Wireless Charger:
- w/ Wireless Charger:
- Remove the upper console panel sub-assembly.
- Apply protective tape as shown in the illustration.
- REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB (for Manual Transmission)

- REMOVE UPPER CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE TRANSMISSION FLOOR SHIFT ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Transmission)
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5
- REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
- for LHD:
- Type A:
1. Turn the locks (3) by 90°.
- Type B:
1. Loosen screws (3).
- Detach the guide (2).
- Detach the guides (4) to remove the No. 1 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly (1).
- Unlock associated plug connections and disconnect.
- Type A:
- for RHD:
- Turn the locks (3) by 90°.
- Detach the guide (2).
- Detach the guides (4) to remove the No. 1 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly (1).
- Unlock associated plug connections and disconnect.
- for LHD:
- REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE CONSOLE BOX CUP HOLDER
HINT:
Perform this procedure only when replacement of the console box cup holder is necessary.
- REMOVE CONSOLE PANEL
HINT:
Perform this procedure only when replacement of the console panel or console panel retainer is necessary.
- REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL ASSEMBLY
HINT:
Perform this procedure only when replacement of the instrument panel finish lower panel is necessary.

- REMOVE BOX BOTTOM MAT (w/o Wireless Charger)
HINT:
Perform this procedure only when replacement of the box bottom mat is necessary.
- Remove the box bottom mat.
- REMOVE MOBILE WIRELESS CHARGER CRADLE ASSEMBLY (w/ Wireless Charger)
HINT:
Perform this procedure only when replacement of the upper console panel sub-assembly is necessary.

- REMOVE NO. 1 STEREO JACK ADAPTER ASSEMBLY

Perform this procedure only when replacement of the upper console panel sub-assembly is necessary.

- REMOVE PATTERN SELECT SWITCH ASSEMBLY

- REMOVE ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE SWITCH ASSEMBLY

- REMOVE REMOTE OPERATION CONTROLLER ASSEMBLY
