Installation [11/2015 - 11/2016]: Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY 
    1. Put the roof headlining assembly into the vehicle through the back door as shown in the illustration.

      NOTE:

      Do not damage the roof headlining assembly or vehicle interior.

    2. for Roof Side (for Normal Roof):
      1. Install the roof headlining assembly with the 4 clips.
    3. for Roof Side (for Sliding Roof):
      1. Engage the 12 fasteners and install the roof headlining assembly with the 2 clips.
      2. Connect the connector to the sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly.
    4. for Roof Side (for Panoramic Moon Roof):
      1. Engage the 20 fasteners to install the roof headlining assembly.
      2. Connect the connector to the No. 2 roof wire.
    5. for Rear Side:

      *A w/ Satellite Radio
      1. Connect the connector (w/ Satellite Radio).
      2. Engage the 3 clips.
    6. for Rear Pillar LH Side:
      1. Engage the clamp and 2 guides.
      2. Install the bolt.
      3. Connect the connector.
    7. for Rear Pillar RH Side:
      1. Connect the rear washer hose assembly.
      2. Engage the 2 clamps and 3 guides.
      3. Install the 2 bolts.
      4. Connect the 2 connectors.
    8. for Front Pillar LH Side (w/o Rear Seat Entertainment System):
      1. Connect the 2 connectors.
      2. Engage the 3 clamps.
    9. for Front Pillar LH Side (w/ Rear Seat Entertainment System):
      1. Connect the 3 connectors.
      2. Engage the 3 clamps.
    10. for Front Pillar RH Side:
      1. Connect the rear washer hose assembly.
      2. Connect the connector.
      3. Engage the 3 clamps.
    11. for Windshield Glass Side:
      1. Connect each connector.
  2. CONNECT REAR ROOF SIDE RAIL GARNISH LH 
    1. Engage the 3 clips to connect the rear roof side rail garnish LH as shown in the illustration.

  3. CONNECT REAR ROOF SIDE RAIL GARNISH RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  4. INSTALL VISOR HOLDER 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure for the LH side and RH side.

    1. Engage the 2 claws.

    2. Push in the visor holder as shown in the illustration.
  5. INSTALL VISOR ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. for "TORX" Screw:
      1. Using a T25 "TORX" socket wrench, install the visor assembly LH with the 2 screws.
    2. except "TORX" Screw:
      1. Install the visor assembly LH with the 2 screws.
  6. INSTALL VISOR BRACKET COVER (for LH Side) 
    1. Engage the 4 claws to install the visor bracket cover.

  7. INSTALL VISOR ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  8. INSTALL VISOR BRACKET COVER (for RH Side) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  9. INSTALL ASSIST GRIP SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure for all assist grip sub-assemblies.

    1. Install the clip to the assist grip.

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

    2. Temporarily install the assist grip cover LH to the assist grip as shown in the illustration.

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

    3. Engage the 2 clips to install the assist grip sub-assembly.

    4. Engage the 2 claws to install the assist grip cover LH.

      NOTE:

      After installing the assist grip cover LH and RH, make sure that the 2 clips on the assist grip sub-assembly are engaged securely.

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  10. INSTALL REAR ASSIST GRIP ASSEMBLY 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the assist grip sub-assembly.

  11. INSTALL NO. 1 COOLER AIR DUCT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  12. INSTALL COOLER PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  13. INSTALL TELEVISION DISPLAY ASSEMBLY (w/ Rear Seat Entertainment System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  14. INSTALL TELEVISION BASE (w/ Rear Seat Entertainment System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  15. INSTALL UPPER SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR COVER 
    1. Pass the anchor of the rear No. 2 seat 3 point type belt assembly through the upper shoulder belt anchor cover.

    2. Engage the 4 claws and 3 clips to install the upper shoulder belt anchor cover.
  16. INSTALL MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  17. INSTALL PROTECTOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  18. INSTALL NO. 1 LANE DEPARTURE WARNING CAMERA COVER (w/ Lane Departure Alert System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  19. INSPECT NO. 1 LANE DEPARTURE WARNING CAMERA COVER (w/ Lane Departure Alert System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  20. INSTALL RAIN SENSOR COVER (w/ Lane Departure Alert System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  21. INSTALL RAIN SENSOR COVER (w/ Rain Sensor) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  22. INSTALL INNER REAR VIEW MIRROR STAY HOLDER COVER (w/ EC Mirror) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  23. INSTALL INNER ROOF SIDE GARNISH ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Pass the anchor of the rear No. 2 seat outer belt assembly LH through the inner roof side garnish assembly LH.
    2. Engage the claw and 4 clips to install the inner roof side garnish assembly LH.
  24. INSTALL QUARTER PILLAR GARNISH LH 
    1. Pass the anchor of the rear No. 1 seat outer belt assembly LH through the quarter pillar garnish LH.
    2. Engage the claw, 2 clips and guide to install the quarter pillar garnish LH.
  25. INSTALL DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Engage the claw, 10 clips and 2 guides.
    2. Install the deck trim side panel assembly LH with the 3 bolts.
  26. INSTALL ROPE HOOK (for LH Side) 
    1. Install the 2 rope hooks with the 2 bolts.

    2. Engage the 4 claws as shown in the illustration.
  27. INSTALL NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM HOOK (for LH Side) 
    1. Turn the No. 1 luggage compartment trim hook as shown in the illustration to install it.

  28. INSTALL DECK TRIM POCKET COVER (for LH Side) 
    1. Engage the 2 claws to install the deck trim pocket cover.

  29. CONNECT REAR NO. 2 SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10

  30. INSTALL DECK TRIM SIDE SERVICE HOLE COVER 
    1. Engage the 2 guides.
    2. Engage the claw to install the deck trim side service hole cover.
  31. INSTALL NO. 2 DECK SIDE TRIM COVER 
    1. Engage the 6 claws, clip and 2 guides to install the No. 2 deck side trim cover.
  32. CONNECT REAR NO. 1 SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13

  33. INSTALL FRONT DECK SIDE TRIM COVER LH 
    1. Engage the 2 claws and guide to install the front deck side trim cover LH as shown in the illustration.

  34. INSTALL INNER ROOF SIDE GARNISH ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  35. INSTALL QUARTER PILLAR GARNISH RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  36. INSTALL DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Engage the clamp.
    2. Engage the claw, 10 clips and 2 guides.
    3. Install the deck trim side panel assembly RH with the 3 bolts.
  37. INSTALL ROPE HOOK (for RH Side) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  38. INSTALL NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM HOOK (for RH Side) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  39. INSTALL DECK TRIM POCKET COVER (for RH Side) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  40. INSTALL NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LIGHT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  41. INSTALL COOLER (NO. 2 ROOM TEMP. SENSOR) THERMISTOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  42. CONNECT REAR NO. 2 SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  43. INSTALL DECK TRIM SIDE BELT HOLE COVER RH 
    1. Engage the 2 guides.

    2. Engage the 4 claws to install the deck trim side belt hole cover RH.
  44. INSTALL NO. 1 DECK SIDE TRIM COVER 
    1. Engage the 5 claws, clip and 2 guides to install the No. 1 deck side trim cover.
  45. CONNECT REAR NO. 1 SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  46. INSTALL FRONT DECK SIDE TRIM COVER RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  47. INSTALL CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH 
    1. Pass the anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly LH through the center pillar garnish LH.
    2. Engage the 2 clips.
    3. Install the center pillar garnish assembly LH with the screw.
  48. CONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  49. INSTALL LOWER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH 
    1. Engage the 4 claws and 2 clips to install the lower center pillar garnish LH.
  50. INSTALL REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH 
    1. Align the alignment mark (red) on the rear door opening trim weatherstrip LH with the flange on the vehicle body indicated by the arrow in the illustration, and install the rear door opening trim weatherstrip LH.

      NOTE:

      After installation, check that the corners fit correctly.

  51. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 
    1. Lift up the rear seat adjusting handle and move the rear No. 1 seat assembly LH to the foremost position.
    2. Engage the 6 claws, 4 clips and 2 guides to install the rear door scuff plate LH.

  52. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PANEL LH 
    1. Engage the 2 guides.
    2. Install the rear door scuff panel LH with the 2 bolts.
    3. Engage the 2 claws to close the 2 caps.
  53. INSTALL REAR OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  54. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH 
    1. Remove the protective cover.
    2. Make sure that the 2 front pillar garnish clips are not damaged.
      NOTE:

      If a front pillar garnish clip is damaged, replace the front pillar garnish clip with a new one.

    3. Engage the front pillar garnish clip (A) to the front pillar garnish LH.

      HINT: 

      Engage the front pillar garnish clip (A) so that it is oriented as shown in the illustration.

    4. Push the front pillar garnish LH in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) shown in the illustration to engage the 2 guides.

      *a Protective Tape
      *b 90°
    5. Using needle-nose pliers with the tips wrapped with protective tape, bend the end of the front pillar garnish clip (B) in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) shown in the illustration.
    6. Push the front pillar garnish LH in the direction indicated by the arrow (3) shown in the illustration and to engage it to the front pillar garnish clip (B).
    7. Using needle-nose pliers with the tips wrapped with protective tape, rotate the front pillar garnish clip (B) in the direction indicated by the arrow (4) shown in the illustration.
    8. Using needle-nose pliers with the tips wrapped with protective tape, push the front pillar garnish clip (B) in the direction indicated by the arrow (5) and rotate them to the position shown in the illustration.

      HINT: 

      Make sure that the front pillar garnish clip (B) are positioned as shown in the illustration.

    9. Engage the 2 front pillar garnish clips to install the front pillar garnish LH.

      HINT: 

      Make sure that the curtain shield airbag assembly LH is not pinched.

  55. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH 
    1. Align the alignment mark (blue) on the front door opening trim weatherstrip LH with the flange on the vehicle body indicated by the arrow in the illustration, and install the front door opening trim weatherstrip LH.

      After installation, check that the corners fit correctly.

  56. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Engage the claw and clip.
    2. Install the cowl side trim sub-assembly LH with the clip.
  57. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 
    1. Engage the 2 guides and 10 claws to install the front door scuff plate LH.
  58. INSTALL CENTER PILLAR GARNISH RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  59. CONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  60. INSTALL LOWER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  61. INSTALL REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH 
    1. Align the alignment mark (green) on the rear door opening trim weatherstrip RH with the flange on the vehicle body indicated by the arrow in the illustration, and install the rear door opening trim weatherstrip RH.

  65. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH 
    1. Align the alignment mark (pink) on the front door opening trim weatherstrip RH with the flange on the vehicle body indicated by the arrow in the illustration, and install the front door opening trim weatherstrip RH.

  68. INSTALL REAR NO. 2 SEAT ASSEMBLY

  69. INSTALL REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE 
    1. Engage the 8 claws, 4 clips and 2 guides to install the rear floor finish plate.
  70. INSTALL REAR DECK FLOOR BOX 
    1. Engage the 4 claws, 2 clips and 2 guides.
    2. Install the rear deck floor box with the nut.
    3. Fold the rear No. 2 seatback assembly LH and RH forward.
    4. Install the 7 clips.
  71. INSTALL DECK SIDE TRIM BOX LH 
    1. Engage the 4 claws, clip and guide to install the deck side trim box LH.
  72. INSTALL NO. 3 DECK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the No. 3 deck board sub-assembly.
  73. INSTALL DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the deck board assembly.
