REMOVING Remove     
1 Remove radio installation opening cover (1). IMPORTANT To do so, remove connector (9) and antenna connector (10) of radio preinstallation from radio installation opening cover (1).

2 Remove center instrument panel cover.    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR68.10-S-3430E
3 Remove cover for slot (3) from cover of center instrument panel. IMPORTANT The slot cover (3) is no longer required.  
4 Remove electrical coupling (14) from antenna splitter (16) and route antenna line (15). Model 447.6/7 as of 01.03.15
NOTES Carefully separate wiring harness (17). This will prevent damage occurring
IMPORTANT Separate wiring harness (17) here and pull out antenna line (15).
This makes it easier to attach the electrical coupling (14) to the radio (audio) (N87/2)
IMPORTANT Route antenna line (15) up to the installation area of the radio (audio) (N87/2) in the instrument panel.		  
5 Remove electrical coupling (14) from antenna line (15). Model 447.6/7 as of 01.03.15
IMPORTANT Electrical coupling (14) is no longer required.		  
6 Remove storage compartment (2) from instrument panel. IMPORTANT To do this, remove screws (11). Storage compartment (2) is no longer required.
The screws (11) of the storage compartment (2)		  
    are used to mount the radio (audio) (N87/2).  
7.1 Remove front overhead control panel (OCP) control unit (N70). MODEL 447.6/7 with CODE LC4 (Comfort overhead control panel) MODEL 447.6/7 with CODE LD0 (Overhead control panel with two reading spots)

7.2 Remove front dome lamp. MODEL 447.6/7 except CODE LC4 (Comfort overhead control panel) except CODE LD0 (Overhead control panel with two reading spots)

8 Remove right A-pillar trim.    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR68.30-S-4050E
9.1 Remove glove box. MODEL 447.6/7 with CODE F66 (Glove compartment, lockable)  
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR68.10-S-1400E
9.2 Remove storage compartment in instrument panel lower part on front passenger side. MODEL 447.6/7 except CODE F66 (Glove compartment, lockable)  
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR68.10-S-1610E
INSTALLING Install     
10 Retrofit adapter wiring harness (5).   AN82.60-S-0010-01E 
11 Retrofit microphone for hands-free system (B25/4).   AN82.70-S-8969-04E 
12.1 Install front overhead control panel control unit (OCP). MODEL 447.6/7 with CODE LC4 (Comfort overhead control panel) MODEL 447.6/7 with CODE LD0 (Overhead control panel with two reading spots)  
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR82.20-S-1100E
12.2 Install front dome lamp. MODEL 447.6/7 except CODE LC4 (Comfort overhead control panel) except CODE LD0 (Overhead control panel with two reading spots)  
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR82.20-S-0110E
13 Install right A-pillar trim.    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR68.30-S-4050E
14.1 Install glove box. MODEL 447.6/7 with CODE F66 (Glove compartment, lockable)  
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR68.10-S-1400E
14.2 Install storage compartment in instrument panel lower part on front passenger side. MODEL 447.6/7 except CODE F66 (Glove compartment, lockable)  
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR68.10-S-1610E
15 Retrofit radio installation frame (4) into instrument panel. NOTES Do not kink electrical wiring harnesses and ensure that they are routed without any chafing. This will prevent damage occurring
IMPORTANT To do so, mount radio installation frame (4) using supplied bolts (12).		  
16 Connect plug (9) of radio pre-installation to contact socket of adapter wiring harness (5).    
17 Connect plug (8) of adapter wiring harness (5) to radio (audio) (N87/2).    
18.1 Connect antenna plug (6) of adapter wiring harness (5) to antenna connector (10) of pre-installation for radio. Model 447.6/7 up to 28.02.15  
18.2 Mount electrical coupling (14) onto antenna line (15). Model 447.6/7 as of 01.03.15
IMPORTANT Use electrical coupling (14) from parts kit.		  
19.1 Connect plug (18) of adapter wiring harness (5) to radio (audio) (N87/2). Model 447.6/7 up to 28.02.15  
19.2 Connect electrical coupling (14) to radio (audio) (N87/2). Model 447.6/7 as of 01.03.15  
20 Connect central connector (13) of adapter wiring harness (5) to radio (audio) (N87/2).    
21 Retrofit radio (audio) (N87/2). IMPORTANT To do so, use the bolts (11) for mounting the radio (audio) (N87/2).  
22 Install center instrument panel cover.    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR   IMPORTANT While doing so, pull the connectors (7) of the adapter wiring harness (5) through the installation opening of the center instrument panel cover, as shown, outwards. AR68.10-S-3430E
23 Retrofit USB/AUX connection (A40/10) in installation opening of center instrument panel cover. IMPORTANT To do so, connect plug (7) of adapter wiring harness (5) to USB/AUX connection (A40/10).  
24 Supplement special equipment in Vehicle Documentation (VeDoc). IMPORTANT Designation of the respective special equipment: CODE EN7 (Audio 15). Remove existing code ER0 (Pre-installation for radio).  
25 Perform SCN coding on instrument cluster (IC) control unit (A1/1).    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR   IMPORTANT Under the "Control unit adaptations" menu item follow the instructions for "SCN coding"
IMPORTANT Do not yet remove vehicle diagnosis system.		 AR54.21-S-0015E
26 Perform SCN coding on electronic ignition lock (EZS) control unit (N73).    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR   IMPORTANT Under the "Control unit adaptations" menu item follow the instructions for "SCN coding"
IMPORTANT Do not yet remove vehicle diagnosis system.		 AR54.21-S-0015E
27 Commission the radio (audio) (N87/2).    
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory IMPORTANT In the "Control unit adaptations" menu item, follow the "Commission previously-installed control unit" instructions
IMPORTANT The radio code is automatically entered into the VeDoc here.		 AD00.00-S-2000-04E
28 Remove diagnostic system.    
INSPECT Check     
29 Perform function test. IMPORTANT See operator's manual for audio equipment.
