The power seat moves but is noisy	Seat track.	CHECK for loose fasteners, obstructions or signs of binding. TIGHTEN loose fasteners. REMOVE any obstructions. INSTALL new seat track if necessary.
The power seat moves but is loose	Fastening hardware. Seat track.	TIGHTEN all fastening hardware. INSTALL new seat track if necessary.
The power seat does not make full travel	Seat track obstructed. Seat track.	REMOVE the obstruction. INSTALL new seat track if necessary.
The power seat does not move horizontally/vertically - driver side	Seat track. Circuitry. Seat control switch.	Vehicles without SIR, Go To PINPOINT TEST C . Vehicles with SIR, Go To PINPOINT TEST D .

The memory seat is inoperative	Driver seat module. Circuitry. Seat regulator control switch. Seat track.	Go To PINPOINT TEST G .

The heated seat is inoperative	Heated seat module. Circuitry. Heated seat switch. Seat cushion heater and temperature sensor. Seat back heater.	Go To PINPOINT TEST I .
The heated seat is inoperative - seat does not heat but the heated seat switch illuminates when pressed.	Heated seat module. Circuitry. Heated seat switch. Seat cushion heater and temperature sensor. Seat back heater.	Go To PINPOINT TEST J .
The heated seat is inoperative - seat does heat but the heated seat switch does not illuminate when pressed	Heated seat module. Circuitry. Heated seat switch.	Go To PINPOINT TEST K .
No communication with the driver seat module - DSM	DSM. Circuitry.	REFER to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK - EXCURSION & F250-F550 SUPER DUTY PICKUPS .
Seat back may not latch/lock in the desired position	Seat back recliner latch.	MOVE the seat fully forward. PUSH the integrated head restraint fully rearward. ROTATE at recliner until the seat finds the new reset locking position. ADJUST the seat to the desired position. If the seat still does not latch in the desired position, INSTALL a new seat latch.
