Replacing the strut

- Secure the coil spring with special tool 2 213 022 (31 3 340).
- Use special tool as per Owner's Manual and always observe the safety instructions.

Vehicle may slip off the vehicle hoist if the vehicle hoist is handled incorrectly.

- Pull the auxiliary damper with the protective tube (1) off the piston rod.
- Feed out the spring strut (2)
with the spring pad (3)
from the tensioned coil spring and remove.
- Replace the spring strut (3)

Parts: Spring strut
- Check the auxiliary damper with protective tube (1)
and spring pad (2)
, if necessary, replace it.
- Feed the suspension strut (2) with the spring pad (3) into the coil spring.
- Push the auxiliary damper with protective tube (1) up onto the piston rod.
