7	Check positive line (2) of auxiliary battery (G1/1).	Check positive line (2) of auxiliary battery (G1/1) for damage (e.g., chafe marks etc.) in repair area. If positive line (2) of auxiliary battery (G1/1) is damaged, ↓ continue with operation step 8. If positive line (2) of auxiliary battery (G1/1) is not damaged, ↓ continue with operation step 9.

9	Attach adhesive foil pre-cut part (5) to position shown on tray frame (6).	Apply adhesive foil pre-cut part (5) exactly over cut of tray frame (6) as shown.
10	Bend shackle (3) of left seat console (1) and fit with a felt strip (4).
11	Wrap fabric tape around positive line (2) of auxiliary battery (G1/1) together with electrical subharness (11).	Use fabric tape A 002 983 91 13, see parts ordering note table. The fabric tape is sufficient for several vehicles.	SM54.10-S-0049-03A
12	Route positive line (2) of auxiliary battery (G1/1) together with electrical subharness (11) as shown (arrows B).	Route positive line (2) in front of fuel system control unit (FSCU) (N118/9) (if present). The positive line (2) and the electrical subharness (11) must run parallel to the tray frame (6), as shown (arrows B).
13	Fasten positive line (2) of auxiliary battery (G1/1), at position shown, using a cable tie (7) and spring clip (8).
	Install
14	Install auxiliary battery (G1/1).	Model 447 with code E28 (Auxiliary battery for retrofit consumer) Model 447 with code EE8 (Battery 12V 100 Ah) When installing the auxiliary battery (G1/1), make sure that the positive line (2) and the electrical subharness (11) do not chafe on the left seat console (1). Otherwise, the electrical system of the vehicle may be damaged. The positive line (2) and the electrical subharness (11) must run parallel to the tray frame (6), as shown (arrows B).	AR54.10-S-0007E
