Removal [07/2022 - ]: Procedure
- TABLE OF BOLT, SCREW AND NUT
HINT:
All bolts and screws relevant to installing and removing the instrument panel are shown along with their alphabetic code in the table below.
- CUSTOMIZE POWER TILT AND POWER TELESCOPIC STEERING COLUMN SYSTEM SETTINGS (for Power Tilt and Power Telescopic Steering Column)

- REMOVE STEERING WHEEL SWITCH HOUSING

- REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY

- DISCONNECT FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH
- REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL
- DISCONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT COVER
- REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

- REMOVE ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE SWITCH ASSEMBLY

- REMOVE UPPER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL
- REMOVE MULTI-DISPLAY

- REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL HOLE COVER
- REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL HOLE COVER
- REMOVE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY

- REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET

- REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH ASSEMBLY LH
- Pull up the front pillar garnish assembly LH to disengage the front pillar garnish clip and clip as shown in the illustration.
Pull up - Push the release lever and separate the front pillar garnish clip from the vehicle body as shown in the illustration.
Push NOTE:If the front pillar garnish clip has significant damage, replace it with a new one.
- When the front pillar garnish clip cannot be removed using your fingers:
- While pressing the part shown in the illustration with your finger, move the front pillar garnish clip in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration.
Lift in this Direction - While pulling the front pillar garnish clip in the direction indicated by the arrow, push the part shown in the illustration with the end of a screwdriver and remove the front pillar garnish clip.
Remove in this Direction NOTE:If the front pillar garnish clip has significant damage, replace it with a new one.
- While pressing the part shown in the illustration with your finger, move the front pillar garnish clip in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration.
- Disengage the guides to remove the front pillar garnish assembly LH as shown in the illustration.
Remove in this Direction - Protect the curtain shield airbag assembly.
- Completely cover the curtain shield airbag assembly with a cloth or nylon sheet and secure the ends of the cover with adhesive tape as shown in the illustration.
*a Protective Cover Adhesive Tape NOTE:Cover the curtain shield airbag assembly with a protective cover as soon as the front pillar garnish assembly LH is removed.
- Completely cover the curtain shield airbag assembly with a cloth or nylon sheet and secure the ends of the cover with adhesive tape as shown in the illustration.
- Pull up the front pillar garnish assembly LH to disengage the front pillar garnish clip and clip as shown in the illustration.
- REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH ASSEMBLY RH
HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
- REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SPEAKER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL SPEAKER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the No. 1 instrument panel speaker panel sub-assembly side.
- REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY
HINT:
Use the same procedure for both front No. 2 speaker assemblies.

- REMOVE NO. 1 SPEAKER OPENING COVER ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE FRONT NO. 3 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY (w/ Front Center Speaker)

- REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD ASSEMBLY
- Remove the 2 clips.
*a Airbag Connector *b Airbag Bolt *c Ground Bolt - - - Remove the 2 bolts<E>, 2 bolts<F> and bolt<H>.
- Remove the 4 screws<A> or <B>.
- Disconnect the 4 connectors.
- Disconnect the 2 airbag connectors.NOTE:
When disconnecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

- Disengage the clamps to disconnect the wire harness.
- Disengage the guides to remove the instrument panel safety pad assembly as shown in the illustration.
Remove in this Direction (1) Remove in this Direction (2)
- Remove the 2 clips.
