Removal [07/2022 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:
    • After the ignition switch is turned off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

      Refer to PRECAUTION [07/2022 - ]

    • When replacing the radio receiver assembly, always replace it with a new one. If a radio receiver assembly which was installed to another vehicle is used, the following may occur.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [10/2018 - ]

    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [07/2022 - ]

  3. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [10/2018 - ]

  4. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT CENTER COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14

  5. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH LOWER CENTER PANEL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15

  6. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17

  7. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the No. 1 instrument side panel.

  8. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  9. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH CENTER PANEL ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18

  10. REMOVE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET 
    1. Remove the 4 bolts.

    2. Disengage the guides to separate the radio receiver assembly with bracket.
    3. Disengage the clamp.

    4. Disconnect each connector to remove the radio receiver assembly with bracket.
  11. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIO BRACKET 
    1. Remove the 5 bolts and No. 1 radio bracket.

  12. REMOVE NO. 2 RADIO BRACKET 
    1. Remove the 3 bolts, nut and No. 2 radio bracket.
