Roof Headlining: Removal

  1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY 
  2. REMOVE FRONT OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER LH  (See REMOVAL )
  3. REMOVE FRONT INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER LH  (See REMOVAL )
  4. REMOVE REAR OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER LH  (See REMOVAL )

  17. ALIGN FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD 
  18. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
    NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (See INITIALIZATION ).
  19. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL  )
  20. REMOVE UPPER NO. 1 CONSOLE PANEL GARNISH  (See REMOVAL  )
  21. REMOVE UPPER NO. 2 CONSOLE PANEL GARNISH  (See REMOVAL  )

  37. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 
    1. Put protective tape around the front door scuff plate
    2. Using a molding remover, disengage the 4 clips.

    3. Disengage the 7 claws and remove the front door scuff plate LH

  38. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  39. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER LH 
    1. Disengage the 4 claws and remove the front door opening trim cover LH

  40. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER RH 

    HINT

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  41. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH 
    1. Disengage the 2 clips from the vehicle body.
    2. Cut off the clip < A >
    3. Disengage the guide and remove the front pillar garnish LH.
    4. Remove the clip < A > from the vehicle body

    5. Protect the curtain shield airbag assembly.
      1. Thoroughly cover the airbag with a cloth or nylon sheet and fix the ends of the cover with adhesive tape, as shown in the illustration.
        NOTE: Cover the curtain shield airbag with a protective cover as soon as the front pillar garnish is removed.

  72. REMOVE TRANSMISSION FLOOR SHIFT ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  73. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 
    1. Put protective tape around the rear door scuff plate
    2. Using a molding remover, disengage the 2 clips

    3. Disengage the 5 claws and remove the rear door scuff plate LH.

  74. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  75. REMOVE LAP BELT OUTER ANCHOR COVER LH 
    1. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the lap belt outer anchor cover LH

    1. Remove the bolt and separate the front seat outer belt assembly LH.

    1. Disengage the 3 claws and 5 clips, and remove the lower center pillar garnish LH.

  78. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH 
    1. Remove the 2 screws.
    2. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the center pillar garnish LH by pulling it down

    1. Disengage the 3 claws and remove the front seat belt anchor cover sub-assembly.

  80. REMOVE LOWER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH RH 

    HINT

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  81. SEPARATE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Disconnect the connector.
    2. Remove the bolt and separate the front seat outer belt assembly RH.

    2. Disengage the 2 clips and remove the assist grip sub-assembly

    1. Using a molding remover, disengage the 4 claws and remove the visor bracket cover

      Use the same procedure to remove the cover on the other side.

    3. Disengage the hook, 10 claws and 2 clips.

    4. Remove the roof headlining assembly from the vehicle through the front right door

    1. Disconnect the roof wire connector and disengage each clamp from the front pillar LH.
    2. Disconnect each connector from the map light assembly

    3. Disengage the hook, 10 claws, 8 fasteners and 2 clips

    4. Remove the roof headlining assembly from the vehicle through the front right door.
