Radiator Replacement (LCV)

Preliminary Procedures

1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Vacuum and Fill) Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static) .
2. Remove the radiator inlet and outlet hoses from the radiator. Refer to Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement (LFX) Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement (LCV) , and Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement (LFX) Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement (LCV) .
3. Remove the transmission fluid cooler inlet and outlet pipes from the radiator and the engine coolant fan shroud. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet Pipe Replacement (LFX)Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet Pipe Replacement (LCV) , and Transmission Fluid Cooler Outlet Pipe Replacement (LFX)Transmission Fluid Cooler Outlet Pipe Replacement (LCV) .
4. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the engine coolant fan and unclip the wiring harness from the fan shroud.
5. Lift the condenser off of the retainers on the radiator and support the air conditioning condenser.
6. Remove the left and right radiator support brackets. Refer to Radiator Lower Bracket Replacement (LCV) .
7. Remove the radiator and shroud as an assembly.

Procedure

1. Remove the engine coolant fan shroud from the radiator. Refer to Engine Coolant Fan Shroud Replacement (LFX) Engine Coolant Fan Shroud Replacement (LCV) .
2. Transfer components as necessary.
3. Fill the cooling system to the proper level. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Vacuum and Fill) Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static) .
4. Check the cooling system for leaks. Refer to Cooling System Leak Testing .
