Installing motor oil feed line (oil pan side)

TECHNICAL INFORMATION

- Position motor oil feed line (3) in holder.
- Position motor oil return line (4) in holder.
- Position engine oil line in holder.
- Connect holder (1) at the retaining clips (2) and lock.
- Position holder (1) at the stud bolt.
- Replace O-ring (2)
at the motor oil feed line (1)

Parts: O-ring
- Coat O-ring (2) with engine oil.
- Position motor oil feed line (2) .
- Tighten nut (1) .
TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION

- The holder (2) must be positioned such that the positioning lines (3) are visible.
- Tighten nut (1) .

- Replace O-ring (1)

- Coat O-ring (1) with engine oil.
- Connect motor oil feed line (2) .
- Tighten nut (1) .

- Installing clean air pipe of cylinder bank 1.
- Position the clean air pipe of cylinder bank 1 (2) in direction of arrow and slide it on
The retaining clip (1) must engage audibly.
- Refer to INSTALLING RIGHT INTAKE SILENCER HOUSING .
- Refer to TIGHTENING THE FRONT-END STRUT ON THE RIGHT .
- Refer to INSTALLING THE COVER IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT ON THE RIGHT .
- Refer to INSTALLING THE RETAINING BRIDGE IN AN EQUIPMENT SPECIFICATION WITH A GASOLINE PARTICULATE FILTER .
- Installing conduit on bank 2.
- Clip the wiring harness (2) into the clamps (1).
- Installing cable duct at cylinder bank 1.
- Position the conduit (2).
- Tighten the screws (1).
TIGHTENING TORQUESCable duct M6x16 screw Tightening torque 10Nm - Refer to INSTALLING THE EXPANSION TANK FOR THE CHARGE AIR COOLER .
- Refer to INSTALLING COOLANT EXPANSION TANK .
- Refer to INSTALLING HOLDER OF THE DME CONTROL UNIT FOR CYLINDERS 5 TO 8 .
- Refer to INSTALLING THE COVER PANEL OF THE SLAVE DME CONTROL UNIT .
- Refer to INSTALLING THE LAMBDA OXYGEN SENSOR FOR THE CYLINDERS 5 TO 8 .
- Refer to INSTALLING THE LAMBDA OXYGEN SENSOR FOR THE CYLINDERS 1 TO 4 .
- Installing the cover panel of the master DME control unit.
- Position the cover of the master DME control unit (1)
- Engage the cover panel of the master DME control unit (1) downwards with the clamps (2) and the guide pins (3) in the carrier plate of the DME.
- Refer to INSTALLING ACOUSTIC COVER .
- Installing the rear right engine compartment cover.
Remove the battery cover .
NOTE: The following step(s) must be performed if the listed component(s) is/are installed.- Remove the special tool 2 452 007 from the battery.
- Install the cover (2).
- Lock the lock (1).
- Refer to INSTALLING THE COVER OF THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT ON THE REAR LEFT .
- Refer to DISCONNECTING ALL BATTERY GROUND LEADS .
- Refer to TAKING HOOD OUT OF THE SERVICE POSITION .
