Removing the headlining
NOTE:

- Leave the electrical components in their original packaging until they are being installed. Only use the original packaging for returning the product. Always package removed components straight away.
- Read and comply with user information on using the associated special tool 12 7 060.
- Only tap the housings of electrical components. Do not tap pins or multi-pin connectors directly.
- Wear electrically conductive clothing and antistatic shoes (with ESD symbol).

- Guide the headlining past the parapet of the right C-/D-pillar by bending slightly and place it down slowly on the positioned head restraint.

Precondition
The front seats have been fully adjusted towards the bottom.
The front seat backrests have been fully adjusted towards the rear.

Fold the headlining.
Damage to the headlining. If necessary, the headlining must be replaced.

- Guide the headlining past the parapet of the right C-/D-pillar by bending slightly and place it down slowly on the positioned head restraint.
- Loosen screw (1) .
- Release headlining (2) downwards from the clips (3) .
- Unclip headlining (1) downwards from the clips (2) .
- Guide out the headlining (1) on the respective edge protection with the help of a support person and carefully remove it from the vehicle through the windshield opening.
