(Removing the left and right backrest side sections with the airbag)

- Before working on the airbag, disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery.
- Airbag unit may only be set down with the cushion (airbag itself) facing upwards.

- Before disconnecting
the vehicle battery, it is essential
to deactivate the high-voltage system via the high-voltage service disconnect in BEV and PHEV vehicles.

- Unclip the cover (1).
- Loosen screw (1).
- Carefully unclip the backrest side section (1) with the airbag in arrow direction from the detent (2).
- Unlock plug connection (3) and disconnect.
- Feed the backrest side section (1) with the airbag in arrow direction out from the bottom retaining tabs (2) and remove it.
