(Remove right C-pillar trim panel left and right)

NOTE: Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.

WARNING: Airbag unit  .
Danger! Immobilization period-threatening injuries! 

• Before working on the airbag, disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery.
• Airbag unit may only be set down with the cushion (airbag itself) facing upwards.

• All work on pyrotechnic parts may be carried out by technically experienced and appropriately trained personnel only.
• Replace any damaged part or ones that have been dropped.

• Lever out cover (1) from the C-pillar trim panel (4) using a suitable tool.
• Release screw (2) under it.
• Loosen expanding rivet (3).
• Guide out and remove C-pillar trim panel (4).
