1. Instrument Panel
   • Instrument panel with defroster vent
   • Air guide channel installed under the instrument panel
   • Overview - Air guide channel. Refer to AIR DUCT .
   • Removing  and installing  . Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
2. Center Vent
   • Overview. Refer to OVERVIEW - AIR ROUTING AND AIR DISTRIBUTION IN VEHICLE INTERIOR .
   • Removing  and installing  . Refer to CENTER VENT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
3. Right Side Vent
   • Air distribution occurs through the defrost intermediate piece -item  - OVERVIEW - AIR ROUTING AND AIR DISTRIBUTION IN VEHICLE INTERIOR - list item: Defroster Vent Intermediate Piece.
   • Removing  and installing  . Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
4. Right Side Vent
   • The air distribution is activated using the intermediate piece for the vent -item  - OVERVIEW - AIR ROUTING AND AIR DISTRIBUTION IN VEHICLE INTERIOR - list item: Instrument Panel Vent Intermediate Piece.
   • Removing  and installing  . Refer to .
5. Front A/C Display Control Head -E87- with A/C Control Module -J301-
   • Two-piece version
   • Rear heat controls. Refer to -item 16- COMPONENT LOCATION OVERVIEW - COMPONENTS IN FRONT VEHICLE INTERIOR - list item: Rear Section Display Control Head .
   • Function. Refer to COMPONENT LOCATION OVERVIEW - DISPLAY AND CONTROL HEAD, ELECTRIC-MANUAL CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM .
   • Removing  and installing  . Refer to DISPLAY CONTROL HEAD .
   • With Fresh Air Blower Switch -E9-
   • With Fresh Air/Recirculation Door Switch -E159-
   • Also with Immediate Heating Button -E537- in vehicles with auxiliary heater
   • Depending on the vehicle equipment level, with Seat Heating/Ventilation Adjuster -E399-
6. Recirculation Door Motor -V113-
   • With Recirculation Door Motor Position Sensor - G143-
   • Checking. Refer to Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.

7. Fresh Air Blower -V2-
   • Checking. Refer to Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.

8. Front Passenger Side Footwell Vent
   • Removing  and installing  . Refer to FRONT PASSENGER SIDE FOOTWELL VENT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
9. Dust and Pollen Filter
   • Dust and Pollen Filter Information. Refer to DUST AND POLLEN FILTER INFORMATION .
   • Observe the replacement interval. Refer to the Maintenance, Diagnosis .
   • There are different versions. Refer to the Parts Information.

10. Footwell Trim Panel for the Front Passenger Side

11. Condensation Water Drain

12. Fresh Air Blower Series Resistor with Fuse -N24-

13. Evaporator Temperature Sensor -G308-

14. Right Rear Vent Air Duct

15. Left Rear Vent Air Duct

16. Closure Caps
    • Only for vehicles without air duct/vent installed in the rear center console
    • Removing  and installing  . Refer to CLOSURE CAP ON THE HEATER AND A/C UNIT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
17. Auxiliary Heater Heating Element -Z35-
    • Only installed on vehicles with a diesel engine without an auxiliary coolant heater.
    • Removing  and installing  . Refer to Auxiliary Heater Heating Element -Z35-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
    • Switch on criteria. Refer to Auxiliary Heater Heating Element -Z35-, SWITCH-ON CRITERIA FOR THE ACTIVATION .
