Valve Train, disassembling and assembling (Models from 12.94 and up): Notes
WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 26 other vehicles, including the 2002 Volkswagen Cabrio, 2001 Volkswagen Cabrio, 2000 Volkswagen Cabrio, 1999 Volkswagen Jetta, and 1999 Volkswagen Golf. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
For vehicles up to 11.94, see Valve Train, disassembling and assembling (models up to 11.94) .
NOTE:
- One valve spring and the lower spring plate have been discontinued.
- Cylinder heads with cracks between the valve seats or between valve seat and spark plug threads can be used without decreasing the service life. Also, cracks at the first few threads of the spark plug thread are permissible. Cracks may not be wider than 0.5 mm (0.020 in.).
