Removal [08/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (Refer to PRECAUTION [08/2015 - ] ).

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2015 - 08/2017] Refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2017 - ] ).

  3. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUBASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 22

  4. REMOVE AIR CLEANER HOSE ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  5. REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 24

  6. REMOVE FRONT FENDER SPLASH SHIELD SUBASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  7. REMOVE FRONT FENDER SPLASH SHIELD SUBASSEMBLY RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  8. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER SUBASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17

  9. REMOVE FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  10. REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON TRIM PACKING A 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  11. DISCONNECT VANE PUMP ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19

  12. DISCONNECT OIL COOLER TUBE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 53

  13. REMOVE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the generator connector.

    2. Remove the terminal cap.
    3. Remove the nut and disconnect the generator wire from terminal B.
    4. Detach the clamp and disconnect the generator wire.
    5. Remove the bolt and wire harness clamp bracket from generator assembly.
    6. Remove the 3 bolts, nut and generator assembly.

    7. Remove the stud bolt from the cylinder block.
