Removal [12/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM 

    See step  1 [12/2015 - 08/2016], or see step  1 [08/2016 - ]

  2. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 24 [12/2015 - 08/2016] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18 [08/2016 - ]

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [12/2015 - 08/2016] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [08/2016 - ]

  4. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [12/2015 - 08/2016] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [08/2016 - ]

  5. REMOVE FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [12/2015 - 08/2016] , or refer to REMOVAL [08/2016 - ] )

  6. REMOVE MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System) 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [12/2015 - 11/2017] , or refer to REMOVAL [11/2017 - ] )

  7. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System) 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [12/2015 - 11/2017] , or refer to REMOVAL [11/2017 - ] )

  8. REMOVE AIR CLEANER INLET COVER ASSEMBLY SEAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [12/2015 - 08/2016] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [12/2015 - 08/2016]

  9. DISCONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [12/2015 - 08/2016] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [08/2016 - 11/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [11/2017 - ]

  10. DISCONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [12/2015 - 08/2016] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [08/2016 - 11/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [11/2017 - ]

  11. DISCONNECT INLET OIL COOLER HOSE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [12/2015 - 08/2016] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [08/2016 - 11/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [11/2017 - ]

  12. DISCONNECT OUTLET OIL COOLER HOSE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [12/2015 - 08/2016] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [08/2016 - 11/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [11/2017 - ]

  13. DISCONNECT DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the discharge hose from the condenser.
    2. Remove the O-ring from the discharge hose.
      NOTE:

      Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent the entry of moisture and foreign matter.

  14. DISCONNECT COOLER REFRIGERANT LIQUID PIPE A

    1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe A from the condenser.
    2. Remove the O-ring from the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe A.
      NOTE:

      Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent the entry of moisture and foreign matter.

  15. REMOVE HOOD LOCK NUT CAP 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [12/2015 - 11/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [11/2017 - ]

  16. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [12/2015 - 11/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [11/2017 - ]

  17. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Disconnect the 2 connectors.
    2. Remove the 5 bolts and separate the radiator support with horn assembly.
  18. REMOVE RADIATOR AND FAN ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the radiator and fan assembly with condenser from vehicle.
  19. DISCONNECT DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the discharge hose from the compressor.
    2. Remove the O-ring from the discharge hose.
      NOTE:

      Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent the entry of moisture and foreign matter.

  20. DISCONNECT SUCTION HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the suction hose from the compressor.
    2. Remove the O-ring from the suction hose.
      NOTE:

      Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

  21. REMOVE W/PULLEY COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY

    1. Disengage the 2 clamps.
    2. Disconnect the 3 connectors.
    3. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.

    4. Remove the bracket and compressor.
    5. Using an E8 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 stud bolts.
