Installation [12/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL W/PULLEY COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Using an E8 "TORX" socket wrench, install the compressor with the 2 stud bolts.

      Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf) 

    2. Install the compressor assembly with pulley with the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.

      Torque: 25 N*m (250 kgf*cm, 18 ft.*lbf) 

      HINT: 

      Tighten the bolts and the nuts in the order shown in the illustration.

    3. Connect the 3 connectors.
    4. Engage the 2 clamps.
  2. CONNECT SUCTION HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the attached vinyl tape from the suction hose.
    2. Sufficiently apply compressor oil to a new O-ring and the fitting surface of the compressor.

      Compressor oil

      ND-OIL 8 or equivalent

    3. Install the O-ring onto the suction hose.
    4. Connect the suction hose to the compressor with the bolt.

      Torque: 5.4 N*m (55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf) 

  3. CONNECT DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the attached vinyl tape from the discharge hose.
    2. Sufficiently apply compressor oil to a new O-ring and the fitting surface of the compressor.

      Compressor oil

      ND-OIL 8 or equivalent

    3. Install the O-ring onto the discharge hose.
    4. Connect the discharge hose to the compressor with the bolt.

      Torque: 5.4 N*m (55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf) 

  4. INSTALL RADIATOR AND FAN ASSEMBLY

    1. Install the radiator and fan assembly with condenser into the vehicle.
  5. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the radiator support with 5 bolts.

      Torque: 6.0 N*m (62 kgf*cm, 53 in.*lbf) 

    2. Connect the 2 connectors.
    3. Engage the clamp.
  6. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  7. INSTALL HOOD LOCK NUT CAP 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [12/2015 - 11/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [11/2017 - ]

  8. CONNECT COOLER REFRIGERANT LIQUID PIPE A 
    1. Remove the attached vinyl tape from the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe A.
    2. Sufficiently apply compressor oil to a new O-ring and the fitting surface of the condenser.

      Compressor oil

      ND-OIL 8 or equivalent

    3. Install the O-ring onto the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe A.
    4. Connect the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe A to the condenser with the bolt.

      Torque: 5.4 N*m (55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf) 

  9. CONNECT DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the attached vinyl tape from the discharge hose.
    2. Sufficiently apply compressor oil to a new O-ring and the fitting surface of the condenser.

      Compressor oil

      ND-OIL 8 or equivalent

    3. Install the O-ring onto the discharge hose.
    4. Connect the discharge hose to the condenser with the bolt.

      Torque: 5.4 N*m (55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf) 

  10. CONNECT OUTLET OIL COOLER HOSE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [12/2015 - 08/2016] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [08/2016 - 11/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [11/2017 - ]

  11. CONNECT INLET OIL COOLER HOSE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [12/2015 - 08/2016] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [08/2016 - 11/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [11/2017 - ]

  12. CONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [12/2015 - 08/2016] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [08/2016 - 11/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [11/2017 - ]

  13. CONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12 [12/2015 - 08/2016] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12 [08/2016 - 11/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [11/2017 - ]

  14. INSTALL AIR CLEANER INLET COVER ASSEMBLY SEAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [12/2015 - 08/2016] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [08/2016 - ]

  15. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System) 

    (Refer to INSTALLATION [12/2015 - 11/2017] , or refer to INSTALLATION [11/2017 - ] )

  16. INSTALL MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System) 

    (Refer to INSTALLATION [12/2015 - 11/2017] , or refer to INSTALLATION [11/2017 - ] )

  17. INSTALL FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT 

    (Refer to INSTALLATION [12/2015 - 08/2016] , or refer to INSTALLATION [08/2016 - ] )

  18. ADD ENGINE COOLANT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [12/2015 - 08/2016] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [08/2016 - ]

  19. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [12/2015 - 08/2016] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [08/2016 - ]

  20. CHARGE REFRIGERANT 

    See step  2 [12/2015 - 08/2016], or see step  2 [08/2016 - ]

  21. WARM UP ENGINE 

    See step  3 [12/2015 - 08/2016], or see step  3 [08/2016 - ]

  22. INSPECT FOR REFRIGERANT LEAK 

    See step  4 [12/2015 - 08/2016], or see step  4 [08/2016 - ]

  23. INSPECT AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID 

    for U660E: (Refer to ADJUSTMENT [12/2015 - 08/2016] , or refer to ADJUSTMENT [08/2016 - ] )

    for U660F: (Refer to ADJUSTMENT [12/2015 - 08/2016] , or refer to ADJUSTMENT [08/2016 - ] )

  24. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15 [12/2015 - 08/2016] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15 [08/2016 - ]

  25. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 95 [12/2015 - 08/2016] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 94 [08/2016 - ]

  26. INSPECT HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  27. ADJUST HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [12/2015 - 08/2016] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [08/2016 - ]
