Reassembly [11/2016 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SPRING SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 6 hooks to install the front seat cushion spring sub-assembly to the front seat adjuster assembly.

  2. INSTALL SEAT ADJUSTER COVER CAP 
    1. Install the 2 seat adjuster cover caps.

  3. INSTALL FRONT SEAT WIRE 
    1. Connect each connector and engage each clamp to install the front seat wire.
  4. INSTALL NO. 1 SEAT WIRE (for Front Passenger Side) 
    1. Connect each connector and engage each clamp to install the No. 1 seat wire.
  5. INSTALL LH SEAT FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR LH (for Driver Side)

      Engage the 3 claws and guide to install the LH seat front seat cushion edge protector LH.

  6. INSTALL LH SEAT FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR RH (for Driver Side) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  7. INSTALL RH SEAT FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR LH (for Front Passenger Side)

      Engage the 3 claws and guide to install the RH seat front seat cushion edge protector LH.

  8. INSTALL RH SEAT FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR RH (for Front Passenger Side) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  9. INSTALL FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD LH (for Driver Side) 
    1. Engage the clip to install the front seat lower cushion shield LH.

    2. Engage the hook as shown in the illustration.
    3. Install the screw.
  10. INSTALL FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD RH (for Driver Side) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  11. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER ASSEMBLY (w/ Climate Control Seat System) 
    1. Engage the 2 hooks to install the seat cushion climate control blower assembly.

    2. Connect the connector.

  12. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION CLIMATE CONTROL BRACKET (w/ Climate Control Seat System) 
    1. Install the seat cushion climate control bracket to the seat cushion climate control blower assembly with the 2 screws.

  13. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION CLIMATE CONTROL DUCT (w/ Climate Control Seat System) 
    1. Engage the 2 claws to install the seat cushion climate control duct to the seat cushion climate control blower assembly.

  14. INSTALL FRONT SEAT AIRBAG SUB-ASSEMBLY RH (for Front Passenger Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  15. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY (w/ Seat Heater System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  16. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER 
    1. w/o Variable Seat Cushion System:
      1. Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seat cushion cover to the separate type front seat cushion pad with 18 new hog rings.

        NOTE:
        • Be careful not to damage the separate type front seat cushion cover.
        • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the separate type front seat cushion cover.
      2. Using hog ring pliers, install 5 new hog rings.

        NOTE:
        • Be careful not to damage the separate type front seat cushion cover.
        • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the separate type front seat cushion cover.
    2. w/ Variable Seat Cushion System:
      1. Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seat cushion cover to the separate type front seat cushion pad with 18 new hog rings.

        NOTE:
        • Be careful not to damage the separate type front seat cushion cover.
        • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the separate type front seat cushion cover.
      2. Using hog ring pliers, install 2 new hog rings.

  17. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD (for Driver Side) 
    1. w/o Variable Seat Cushion System:

      1. Engage the 10 hooks to install the separate type front seat cushion cover with pad.
    2. w/ Variable Seat Cushion System:
      1. Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seat cushion cover with pad with 4 new hog rings.

        NOTE:
        • Be careful not to damage the separate type front seat cushion cover.
        • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the separate type front seat cushion cover.
      2. Return the separate type front seat cushion cover with pad to its original position.

  18. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD (for Front Passenger Side) 
    1. Engage the 14 hooks to install the separate type front seat cushion cover with pad.

    2. w/ Seat Heater System:
      1. Engage the 3 clamps.

  19. INSTALL FRONT SEAT NO. 2 WIRE 
    1. Connect each connector and engage each clamp to install the front seat No. 2 wire.
  20. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK HOOK 
    1. for Driver Side
      1. Install the 2 front seatback hooks to the lumbar support adjuster assembly.
    2. for Front Passenger Side
      1. Install the 2 front seatback hooks to the front seatback spring sub-assembly.
  21. INSTALL LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY (for Driver Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  22. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK SPRING SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Front Passenger Side) 
    1. Engage the 2 guides to install the front seatback spring sub-assembly to the front seatback frame sub-assembly.

    2. Engage the 2 claws.
  23. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK EDGE PROTECTOR 
    1. Engage each claw to install the 2 front seatback edge protectors.

  24. INSTALL SEATBACK CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER (w/ Climate Control Seat System) 
    1. Engage the 4 hooks to install the seatback climate control blower.

    2. Install the clip.

    3. Connect the connector.

  27. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER 
    1. Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seatback cover to the separate type front seatback pad with 2 new hog rings.

      NOTE:
      • Be careful not to damage the separate type front seatback cover.
      • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the separate type front seatback cover.

      Using hog ring pliers, install 4 new hog rings.

      NOTE:
      • Be careful not to damage the separate type front seatback cover.
      • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the separate type front seatback cover.
  28. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD 
    1. Install the separate type front seatback cover with pad.
  29. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage each claw to install the 2 front seat headrest support assemblies.

    2. w/ Climate Control Seat System:
      1. Engage the 2 claws to connect the seatback climate control blower to the separate type front seatback pad.

    3. Engage the 3 brackets and install the 2 nuts.

      *a Bracket

      Torque: 5.5 N*m (56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf) 

      NOTE:
      • For vehicles with a front seat airbag assembly, the separate type front seatback cover with pad must be securely installed. Otherwise, the front seat airbag assembly may not deploy properly.
      • Make sure that the strap is not twisted after installing the nut.
      • Install the brackets securely.
    4. Return the separate type front seatback cover to its original position.

      Using hog ring pliers, install 2 new hog rings.

      NOTE:
      • Be careful not to damage the separate type front seatback cover.
      • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the separate type front seatback cover.
    6. Using hog ring pliers, install 3 new hog rings.

    7. Using hog ring pliers, install 7 new hog rings.

  30. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 4 guides to install the separate type front seatback assembly to the separate type front seat cushion assembly.

    2. Install the 4 bolts.

      Torque: 42 N*m (428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf) 

    3. w/ Seat Heater System:
      1. Engage the clamp.

      2. Connect the connector.
    4. Engage the claw and 3 clamps to install the front seat airbag assembly wire harness.
