Installation [12/2013 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL SEAT POSITION AIRBAG SENSOR (for Manual Seat) 
    1. Engage the pin to install the seat position airbag sensor to the seat slide position sensor protector as shown in the illustration.

    2. Using a 1.3 mm (0.0512 in.) feeler gauge, temporarily install the seat position airbag sensor with the "TORX" bolt.

      *1 Seat Position Airbag Sensor
      *a Feeler Gauge
      *b 1.3 mm (0.0512 in.)
      *c Seat Rail
      NOTE:
      • If the seat position airbag sensor has been dropped, or there are any cracks, dents or other defects in the case or connector, replace the seat position airbag sensor with a new one.
      • When installing the seat position airbag sensor, be careful that the SRS wiring does not interfere with or is pinched between other parts.
    3. Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, tighten the "TORX" bolt.

      Torque: 8.0 N*m (82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf) 

    4. Make sure that the clearance between the seat position airbag sensor and seat rail is 1.3 mm (0.0512 in.).
    5. Connect the connector.
    6. Install the wire harness to the 2 clamps.
    7. Check that there is no looseness in the installed parts of the seat position airbag sensor.
  2. INSTALL SEAT POSITION AIRBAG SENSOR (for Power Seat) 
    1. Engage the pin to install the seat position airbag sensor to the seat slide position sensor protector as shown in the illustration.

    2. Using a 1.3 mm (0.0512 in.) feeler gauge, temporarily install the seat position airbag sensor with the "TORX" bolt and nut.

      *c Seat Rail
      NOTE:
      • If the seat position airbag sensor has been dropped, or there are any cracks, dents or other defects in the case or connector, replace the seat position airbag sensor with a new one.

    4. Make sure that the clearance between the seat position airbag sensor and seat rail is 1.3 mm (0.0512 in.).
    5. Connect the connector.
    6. Install the wire harness to the 2 clamps.
    7. Check that there is no looseness in the installed parts of the seat position airbag sensor.
  3. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD (for Manual Seat)

  4. INSTALL VERTICAL ADJUSTING HANDLE (for Manual Seat)

  5. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE (for Manual Seat) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 32 (12/2013 - 11/2015)

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 34 (11/2016 -)

  6. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH 

    For Manual Seat: Refer to INSTALLATION [12/2013 - ]

    For Power Seat: Refer to INSTALLATION [12/2013 - ]

  7. PERFORM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK 

    Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [12/2013 - ]
