Installation [02/2014 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 5 guides to temporarily install the instrument panel safety pad sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

      NOTE:
      • Do not damage the instrument panel safety pad sub-assembly.
      • Do not allow the wire harnesses to interfere with the surrounding parts.
    2. Install the instrument panel safety pad sub-assembly with the 6 bolts <C>, 2 bolts <A> and nut <E>.

      Bolt <A> 

      Torque: 20 N*m (204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf) 

    3. Install the 2 clips.
    4. Engage each clamp.
    5. Install the screw <D>.
    6. Connect each connector.
    7. Engage the 2 claws to connect the room temperature sensor.
  2. CONNECT NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  3. INSTALL CENTER LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL 
    1. Connect each connector.
    2. Engage the 2 claws as shown in the illustration.

    3. Install the center lower instrument panel finish panel with the 2 bolts <C>, 2 screws <D> and 2 nuts <E>.
  4. INSTALL NO. 1 SWITCH HOLE BASE 
    1. w/o Smart Key System:
      1. Engage the 4 claws to install the No. 1 switch hole base.
    2. w/ Smart Key System:
      1. Connect the connector.
      2. Engage the 4 claws to install the No. 1 switch hole base.
  5. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 3 guides and 4 claws to install the No. 2 instrument panel register assembly.

  6. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PLATE 
    1. Engage the 3 guides and 6 claws as shown in the illustration.

    2. Install the instrument panel finish panel with the 5 screws <D>.
  7. INSTALL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL END 
    1. w/ Illumination
      1. Connect the 2 connectors.
    2. Engage the 3 guides and 11 claws to install the instrument cluster finish panel end as shown in the illustration.

  8. INSTALL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ORNAMENT 
    1. Engage the 8 claws and 6 clips to install the instrument cluster finish panel ornament.

  9. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect each connector.
    2. Engage the guide and 3 clips as shown in the illustration.

    3. Install the 2 bolts <B>.
    4. Open the lower instrument panel sub-assembly door.
    5. Install the lower instrument panel sub-assembly with the 3 screws <D>.
    6. Close the lower instrument panel sub-assembly door.
  10. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 2 guides and 4 claws to install the No. 2 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly.
  11. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END RH 
    1. Engage the 3 guides and 5 claws to install the instrument panel finish panel end RH as shown in the illustration.

  12. INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY (for RH Side) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  13. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL SPEAKER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 2 guides and 2 clips to install the No. 2 instrument panel speaker panel sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

  14. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  15. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH

  16. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  17. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  18. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX INSERT 
    1. Engage the 4 guides and claw as shown in the illustration.

    2. Install the console box insert with the 2 screws <D> and 2 clips.
  19. INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 CONSOLE BOX INSERT 
    1. Engage the 4 guides and claw as shown in the illustration.

    2. Install the front No. 2 console box insert with the 2 screws <D> and clip.
    3. Engage the clamp.
  20. INSTALL NO. 2 SWITCH HOLE BASE 
    1. Connect each connector.
    2. Engage the 4 claws to install the No. 2 switch hole base as shown in the illustration.

  23. INSTALL RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET (for Radio and Display Type)

    1. Engage the guide and 5 claws to install the No. 4 instrument panel register assembly.

  26. INSTALL NO. 3 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the guide and 6 claws to install the No. 3 instrument panel register assembly.

  27. INSTALL CENTER UPPER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL 
    1. Engage the guide and 8 claws to install the center upper instrument cluster finish panel.

  28. INSTALL CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL WITH AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect the connector.
    2. Engage the connector clamp.
    3. Engage the 17 claws to install the center instrument cluster finish panel with air conditioning control assembly.

  29. INSTALL FRONT NO. 3 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY (for 12 Speakers) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  30. INSTALL NO. 1 SPEAKER OPENING COVER ASSEMBLY (for 12 Speakers) 
    1. Engage the 2 guides and 4 clips to install the No. 1 speaker opening cover assembly.

  31. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 3 guides and 5 claws to install the No. 1 instrument panel register assembly.
  32. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect each connector.
    2. Engage the 10 claws and 4 clips.
    3. Install the lower instrument panel finish panel sub-assembly with the bolt <B>.
  33. CONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 2 guides and claw to connect the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.
  34. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect each connector.
    2. Engage the connector clamp.
    3. Engage the guide, claw and clip.
    4. Install the No. 1 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly with the 2 screws <D>.
  35. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END LH 
    1. Engage the 3 guides and 5 claws to install the instrument panel finish panel end LH as shown in the illustration.

  36. INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY (for LH Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  37. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SPEAKER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 2 guides and 2 clips to install the No. 1 instrument panel speaker panel sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.
